Does Chemo Cause Discolored Teeth?
I was just looking at my photo in my expressions. It was the day before I started chemo. I noticed my teeth are not as white as they were then. I have been using Tom's toothpaste. Before I started chemo I always used Colgate Total but it burns so I switched. Does anyone know if the chemo caused this or if the toothpaste…

Newly Diagnosed
I had a lumpectomy on 9/4/09 On 9/10/09 I received the diagnosis of invasive mammary carcinoma of the ductal kind. What a devastating day that was. It totally was not what I expected...I had myself convinced that I would get a good report for being cancer free since everyone was telling me that is usually what happens in…

Taking Arimidex
Hi everyone, I am sitting here trying not to cry, but I have now been on Arimidex the 13th of August. I had a mastectomy with two different cancers on May 7, 2009. I have had to have the drain tube put back in twice because after the radiation I was bleeding very badly under the skin. They finally removed it just 3 days…

radiation question
What happens if you get the flu or some other illness in the middle of radiation treatments? Is it okay to interrupt them for a while? Swine flu is really taking over here with people being down and out for over a week and the flu vaccine isn't available yet. I am concerned as I will starting rads soon: I hardly ever get…

To stop her 4-year old daughter from biting her nails, her mother tells her it'll make her fat. "I won't do it any more, Mom," says the daughter. Next day they are out walking when they meet a very fat man. "If I bite my fingernails, I'll be as fat as that, won't I Mom?" "You'll be fatter than that," says her mother. They…

Belly Bloat after mastectomy?
Hi, I'm new here and have been too busy to consistantly lurk! I have read some great info though! I WAS a 13 year survivor until last month. Chemo and Taste Buds
I've been through 4 A/C treatments and 3 Taxol with one more to go. It's probably the least important side effect I've had to deal with, but I haven't been able to taste anything since shortly after my first treatment. Eating has gotten so boring that I don't really care if I do. The good news is I've lost some weight! I'm…

Mastectomy/Hysterectomy/Port photos...
I hope it's all right to post this here... I read the terms and it seems that only commercial sites or volunteer/project solicitations are prohibited. I couldn't find a lot of mastectomy photos when I was about to have one, so I had mine photographed and put the pictures online at CancerVacation.com. There are lots of…

Anyone else considering stopping AI Therapy?
I'm going to be starting my third aromatase inhibitor, Femara, in one month. I've been on Arimidex, Aromasin and back on Arimidex. The side effects for me have been so debilating that if I don't tolerate the Femara, I'm considering going off of hormone therapy completely. I know this is drastic as I'm increasing my risks…
