Checking in
Hi all...I haven't been on in awhile and thought I'd check in. Hard to believe it was last June this cancer journey started and almost 4 months since I finished treatment. I'm doing ok except I remain in pain with Neuropathy. I had several weeks of PT/massage therapy which seemed to help, but had to take a break as it was…

On my way to wellness!
I started massage therapy at a place which deals in alternative forms of healing. Living in Green Bay, people aren't real receptive to new ideas and as I've probably mentioned (about a million times) my gyno/oncologist is one of them. When I asked him about diet and exercise he said nothing would help. Well, this place has…

Rises in Ca-125 levels within normal range
I was diagnosed with Uterine Papillary Serous Carcinoma, diagnosed Stage 1A, and had a radical hysterectomy, chemo, brachytherapy, an abdominal CT scan (in that order) between July and February of this year and last, and after all this treatment was given the all clear sign. But yesterday, going over my lab results, I…

First scan after frontline shows NED!
The results for my first post-treatment scan are in and I am relieved to say that they showed NED! I was pretty confident that that would be the result since my treatments were very aggressive and it's only been two weeks since my last chemo but I never said it outloud because I didn't want to jinx it! So, now, I have…

Preventative hysterectomy
Knowing how easy the surgery was for my hysterectomy using the DiVinci robot, I am wondering why more women don't have "preventative hysterectomies." I know cost is one consideration but look at the number of cancers that could be prevented for post-menopausal women. And, look what chemo and radiation costs!! I understand…

Got CT Scan Moved Up, Recurrence Scare & Refusal to ever see a Male GYN
Hi! I saw my GP today. I told her about the continued spotting & increased pain. She managed to get my pelvic CT scan moved up to next Friday (the 17th June). She is also referring me to a gynecologist to get checked out & get any blood work done (CA125 & HE4). She didn't have the time to check my old CA125, so I will find…

Mammograms and Ports
Just wondering... So, I'm coming due for my mammogram in a couple of months and I'm wondering about how that all works with the port. I can't tell whether it is in the way or not. I have small breasts and it is not uncommon for my chest and ribs to get almost bruised when they smash everything down. Anybody got experience…

Newbie Cancer Recurrence Scare 3 Years Out CA125 & HE4 Blood Tests
Hi all! I'm new here. I had a DaVinci assisted total hysterectomy, with bilateral salpingo oopherectomy & 16 lymph nodes removed 3 years ago, at the age of 44. Diagnosis was grade 1 & Stage 1A. I moved cross-country not long after surgery (to be closer to family), so the last time I saw my lovely GYN ONC was 5 weeks post…
