Hello again Teal Warriors! My wife, Cindy, is still in remission after 7 cycles of maintenance Taxol Chemotherapy! Her CA125 level has hovered between 1-3. This has prompted me to wonder if a low CA125 has any correlation to delayed disease progression and overall survivability. Do any of you good ladies know of any…

Hi Loves, Just checking in with a quick update. I've been AWOL off and on lately. My last carbo/gemzar infusion did not go well. I had another bad allergic reaction to the carbo inspite of days of pre-meds/bags of steroids etc. I was 13 hours in that d**m infusion chair and still could only manage 1/2 the dose of carbo.…

Positive results from my last chemo
Just had my final check up after my 6 cycles of carbo/taxol and I feel so relieved. I was so nervous waiting in the doctors waiting room :( My CA125 has halved (211 - 122) and eventhough it is still quite high my doctor is really pleased as it started off at 1,288. My Ct scan is clear so they are happy to leave me alone…

Can someone please explain endometrial stromal sarcoma as ovarian cancer?
Obviously, I am new. So new, I haven't yet even got an oncologist. The gynecologist is personally calling around to find one for me. Two pathologists didn't know what I had so they sent it to Mayo clinic and the pathology report just came back this week. I was told this type is very rare. I had a large tumor on one ovary.…

San_Antonio_Lassie (Inspire board) has been in home Hospice for a month now. Her goal is to journal the details of the last leg of her journey, if it does turn out to be worst case scenario. I am taking the liberty to re-post LInda's words to be able to continue this discussion on a new thread. Her quote is below: Nancy opens an interesting point for us to discuss, maybe not on this particular thread, but something I wonder about. Should we pull away when our news is bad? Is it too disheartening for this…
