Have any of you had this with the incision after surgery? My second surgery incision was the same 14 inches up the other side of my navel. It is being packed…

MD ANDERSON IN TEXAS, ANYONE?
Not an OVCA post, but our neighbor has a rare blood disease called mylofibrosis. His wife is taking him to MD Anderson in Texas on Monday, which I understand is a top-notch cancer center. They are doing a study there for mylofibrosis. Anyone familiar with this hospital? Thanks for your input. Monika

Neck tumor
Hi everyone, My neck tumor is growing by the day! I can hardly believe my own eyes! It has a slight burning sensation, but is not really painful. It's just so rock hard, and on occasion I accidentally knock it with my hand or arm. My doctor said he wanted to wait to see what the Etoposide does to it, but I don't agree. I'm…

Hello everyone, just thought I'd up date you all. I have just finished my chemo and find myself struggling. My last treatment was 3 weeks ago. I posted a very long post that somehow got lost. I will try and post again. I am a 911 operator who lost some weight, got healthy, ran a 5 k and got off her BP meds. Then I got really tired, bloated and noticed I had pain in my LLQ. On 2-13-10. My PCP thought it could be diverticulitus or an ovarian cyst, she downplayed my…

Medicare paid 80% on that for information. I am slow to bounce back this time because I was not in good shape going in. Stayed 4/5…

Avastin Headaches. How long do they linger?
I am wondering if anyone has had these headaches from Avastin. My last treatment was Feb 9th, but I am STILL having terrible daily, lingering headaches. My oncology nurse actually suggested that I "go to an eye doctor, and have my eyes checked". LOL It isnt' that; because I still had the dripping nose & congestion, and…

Appointment trip gone awry
Yesterday I had an appointment with my gyn/onc for a follow-up. I hadn't seen him since he did the surgery last Sept. My husband went with me, and we planned to make a little shopping expedition (Trader Joe's & IKEA) while we were in the big city that's two hours away from home. Things started badly-doctor was running an…

Not good news
Hello All, Well, true to my guess, the Alimta didn't work. Plus, the doctor said the tumor on my neck (size of an egg) could be Lymphoma. Very depressing news. I've known that one can get another type of cancer from all of the chemo and cat scans, but have never really read that this has happened to anyone on the board.…

For Donna....
Donna.... I did read your first message under "Primary Peritoneal Cancer", but you might want to start a new thread. Most of the members here have OVCA, so not everyone may have read the PPC thread. You should ask your doctor to do an ultrasound or CT scan, if nothing else, just for the peace of mind. Also, a CA 125 test.…
