JUst FYI It Maybe Another Med
I had fluid in my tummy so took water pills "blood pressure" and lasix. Helped some but ended having stomach drained with them taking out 3 1/2 liters of fluid. Wow did I feel better after that. But then they told me to continue pills because as some know fluid can build up again. I kept getting weaker in legs and arms. So…

For Saundra
Hi Saundra, Just wondering how you cope with the wait-and-see. I am in Florida now and was advised to get a CT scan and check with my oncologist in Wisconsin when we get back there at the end of May. I thought I was OK with that, but now I am having abdominal pains. I'm not sure if they're real or if hypochondria is…

Could it be ovarian cancer?
I have had fibroid tumors for the past 10 years and recurring cysts on my ovaries from time to time. But for the past 2 1/2 years I have had nagging pain in my left abdomen that goes and comes. I would go to the gyn and they have prescribed stool softners on at least 3 different occassions thinking its a colon problem. I…

I need some encouragement.
Hi ladies, I joined this discussion board sometime ago and have read some of your posts from time to time, but never posted before. Actually, I'm battling peritoneal cancer, but I guess it's basically the same as ovarian, just didn't start in the ovaries. I was diagnosed with cancer in both breasts and the peritonium in…

Hello, I always hear that there are no symptoms sometimes with ovarian cancer? 2.7 mm nodule on lung on Friday's CT-scan. Don't worry??
My prior 2 CT-scans have been NED, and my CA-125 has dropped steadily down to 11 during my 6 rounds of carbo/taxel chemo that ended March 26th. Today I learned that a tiny 2.7 mm (millimeter!) nodule was noted on the CT-scan I had on Friday. My radiation oncologist actually seemd angry that this was noted in my CT-scan,…

Welcome to Christianchickcher
I am so glad you have found this site. It is full of information and support. I had IP chemo for stage 3B in the beginning months of 2008. The port was just below my right breast. There was one person at Loyola that had completed all 6 treatments prior to me and she gave me tons of good advice. I was so afraid. They say…
