Rising CA-125
My latest blood marker test was 92 so I will surely be on another round of chemo come May. I will see the gyn/onc on May 13 and he will decide which one. I say the oncologist Wed. and everything else is good in the blood counts. I am feeling good and no other indicators are showing except the continued rise in CA-125 which…

God's morning to all!! Just wanted to wish you all a very Blessed Easter and to our Jewish Friends a Blessed Passover. We are hiding easter eggs outside for our grandkids ~ weather has warmed up enough. I love Easter but then love most holidays especially if they bring our family together. Hugs N Prayers to all the Teal…
Update from Japan
I finished my 3rd cycle of cisplatin/gemzar and next Monday will go in for #4. I just got my CA125 results today. It was 37.7. It still is not "normal" but hey! I will take it! I am relieved as the numbers have been going down, but very slowly. Side effects seem to be getting better. Still in hospital for at least 4 days…
Newbie here
Hello, My name is Cheryl and I have been diagnosed with stage 3c ovarian cancer. I had surgery on February 20 to remove the large mass on my ovary as well as a total hysterectomy, they also removed my appendix, lymph nodes, and the omentum (I hope that's what it is called). I was in surgery for 5 hours. What an ordeal it…
My News
Hello Ladies...I have my latest report to share with you all..... My labwork is back and my CA125 level is at 15. I have also been switched from Evista to Tamoxphen, because of the terrible leg cramps I had. I am pretty excited about this! We will be doing a CT scan to check on my hernia in a month or so. And also, my…
Head in the sand
Hi Everyone, It's been a while since I've been logged in. My sister went into remission in December so I've been praying/pretending that she is just fine, fine, fine from here on out. However...her CA-125 had been at 21 (after the all-time high of nearly 10,000 at diagnosis last April 18th). Her most recent CA-125 is at…
Cysts anyone?
Hi everyone, Has anyone had any trouble with abdominal cysts following OC surgery? I just had my first "post chemo" checkup. My CA-125 was great at 4.9 (very happy about that!), but I have a 4.4 x 3 cm cyst in my lower abdomen that wasn't there in December. It's were my right ovary would be if I still had one. My onc.…

Surgery
Hi Ladies - I wanted to write and just request a few prayers as I get ready to undergo surgery to remove my gall bladder and repair an incisional hernia this coming Thursday. I have been having stomach pains, horrible cramping in my back and nausea for many months - but until I had to make an ER visit & had an ultrasound…
Decadron ?
I was diagnosed with Ovarian and Endometrial Cancer in December 2008. I've noticed that since my chemo treatments have started I have been getting angry about little things and then I take it out on people who technically don't deserve it. Is anger a side effect from this steroid? I heard that it could be but haven't…
Update from my dr appt
I had my Dr appt Monday adn then after they did a ct scan. My nurse called last night to let us know they were pleased with the Ct Scan results; she said not much had changed since the CT Scan in February. I asked her to mail be a copy of the report ~ I like to know what not much is. :-) The plan is to stay on the current…
