Disappointed but never without hope!
Well, we finally heard back from Rush University. We had inquired on a study they were conducting on protecting the "hippocampus" and "limbic" areas of the brain while administering PCI. Turns out they are currently not studying this at this time. :( Probably a financial issue, funding? What's new? One day, soon, my love…

For what its worth I read the impression that the radiologist wrote about my CAT scan...
and he says that I have a neoplasm(tumor)in my lower left lobe in the ligula area. It is 1.4 centimeters (I figure about the size of a small marble). There seems to be no other neoplasms showing up at all and only a few calcifications that did not light up. The ligula as I read about it is a small tongue like piece of lung…

Malignant Melanoma in Lung
My brother was just diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma in his lung. The only other things I know are that they found the source of the cancer (it was on top of his head) and that there are little spots on his brain. From my understanding, he will have radiation therapy to hopefully remove the spotting on his brain, but the…

Alternatives when Avastin stops working
My wife has just finished chemotherapy and has started maintenance phase with Avastin only. Literature indicates that Avastin stops being helpful after a matter of months, as low as 2 months to an average of 8 months or so. I would very much appreciate hearing from patients who have had Avastin therapy and are now on…

Few questions
Had CRC and now through an elevated CEA had a PET done and it shows a growth in lower left lung. Onc doesn't think it is metastisis from CRC but a primary...He is ordering CAT scan for later this week. Doesn't PET scan show miniscule cells and CAT shows more mass and less miniscule ? I have been through CRC surgery, post…
