Neck Tumor It Is Benign - No Cancer
I just got word from my ENT doctor that the tumor he removed from the opposite side of where they think my cancer started is benign. He said it is fairly common to get such tumors due to radiation. I had, at least at first, stage VI a unknown primary. After some radiation they felt the cancer was on the left side, the same…

Oh and While I'm at it ~ Six Years
On January 2, 2009 I was Dx STG III SCC Tonsil Cancer.. Today I just got my results from the six year CT scan... Anniversary Coming soon
The anniversay of Jim's death is on the 17th of April. Last year is was Good Friday on that day so this past Friday was like a prelude to that awful day. I feel that with God's help I have come quite a ways in the grief process but still miss Jim terribly. As some of you know my mother was diagnosed a month ago with lung…

I had a PET scan on Tuesday and went back yesterday (Friday) for results. Comparing Nov scan to this week, cancer in Maxillary sinus is much smaller. I will continue with chemo (taxol). I do have a yeast infection in sinus, have been treated for the last month for bacterial infection. Stopped antibiotics and will be taking…

Terrified:p
I don't have a diagnosis yet as I am waiting for my first ENT appt. April 10th! I saw my PCP last month as I had a extremely sore throat and my nose was blocked on one side. I have very bad allergies and thought that may be the problem or infection. Doc put me on enough antibiotics to knock out a horse and added Flonase.…

Could it be recurrence
I haven't been on this site in a long time but am feeling the need for some feedback. I survived my Stage IV throat cancer in Spring of 2013 after 35 rads and 7 cisplatin treatments. Was declared cancer free in July 2013. Went through a year of learning to cope with all the standard side effects (swallowing deficiency,…

Bad Choices during Cancer
Like a woman had posted earlier, when my husband was diagnosed with head and neck cancer, I was okay, then got severly depressed. There was nothing I could do to stop it from happening, but I was angry. Seems that him and I had just started and I didn't bear/didn't want to see him waste away before me. I shut down/out. I…

Removal of Small Growth - Surgery Tomrrow and Neck Question
Hi I posted a few days ago about the ENT guy saying I had a small what he called "wart" on my soft tissue. I found the medical report and the technical term is "excision Of Pharyngeal Lesion" The doctor said its not likely cancer as it is on the right side and my cancer was on the left side, although I did have an unknown…

Question for the gals....
I had a bone density test the other day, and the Dr. has prescribed Fosamax for me. I was reading the side effects and this one is listed: Bisphosphonates can also cause osteonecrosis of the jaw, a rare condition in which a section of jawbone is slow to heal or fails to heal, typically after a tooth is pulled. This occurs…
