My Friend NED
After an excruciating wait of 7 whole days, my onc today told me that my recent MRI was NED. Yeehah! Please visualize me doing my 'happy dance'. It ain't pretty, but it is heartfelt. I had been having some severe cheek and ear pain the last couple of weeks and, of course, I was thinking the worst about 'the beast'. So, I…

For those that are interested and want to play with LINK's. I posted a photo of the code to one in my expressions...use the one with the blue background. I tried to do it awhile back, but it didn't display all of the code and now I can't delete or modify it... It's much easier to make that to try and explain it, LOL....…

NED!
Had a CAT-scan yesterday. Results came back today. The Med-Onc did not use the term "NED", but said I'm "all clear". No evidence of the cancer at the primary BOT site, and the neck mass is gone. It is now a little more than two months since my last treatment. The last radiation was Feb. 7 and last chemo was Jan. 25. Still…

Our Neighbor
About a month ago, our neighbor came to the door to ask Glenn some questions. It turns out he's had a "swollen" gland in his neck for "a while". Long story short, he has SCC with an unknown primary. Just like Glenn and just about exactly 1 year after Glenn's diagnosis. We were shocked, to say the least. He came home from…

Hey kids! I'm two months out from end of radiation and chemo, and the radiation (in addition to making a very weird growth/bald pattern in my beard) left a large bald spot at the base of my neck, from the hairline up probably 2" x 2".
