Constipation
Does anyone have BAD constipation. I have an urge to have a bowel movement about every 5 days. I take stool softners but they don't help. Now if you don't like ukky stuff, don't read anymore. I have to "help" the first three of four pushes by wearing a rubber glove and actually pulling out the stool. Sometimes that works…

Changing Your Picture
I've tried the "search" topic on this forum when I posted before on "how to add your picture" and the search topic is useless. I can't remember how to add it or change it. I found the edit button and photo, but I'm doing something wrong. I've even been on the main page to see if they gave any clues and didn't see it there…

Trying to understand treatment options for Stage 4 colon cancer
My father was diagnosed with cancer two weeks ago. He had surgery at Mt. Sini three days ago. We thought the cancer was very early and contained (all CEO/pt/ct tests came back normal). When they opened him up they found the cancer had spread outside the rectum wall. They say it is microscopic and could not remove it all.…

CEA is rising- seeing onc Monday
I mentioned a couple of weeks ago on one of the threads that my CEA count had gone up slightly above normal. CEA has been a good marker for me- the only other times it's ever gone up for me before was when something was going on (tumors growing). It's not terribly high as some people have had,but it is going up. When I was…

Ok, this was on the News just now and it really fascinated me, considering I live 40 minutes from the US border, so traveling back and forth between Canada/US is not at all unusual. They just had a report on the News that a cancer patient was held up at the border because he didn't have any fingerprints! The reason, they…
