Exchange Surgery
I am new here and was diagnosed with breast cancer in both breast last November 2018. By January, I had a double masectomy with the understanding that I did want to do reconstruction surgery later. So, my surgeon left me alot of skin to help with this. Although, I knew that was the plan I was not happy with how I looked…

Capecitabine/Xeloda/MRI
I start taking Capecitabine today. I hope that it all goes well. Has anyone else had this treatment? For me it is hopefully a preventive treatment for TNBC coming back. My biggest worry is when I had my MRI they found fluid around my pancreas. I have no symptoms of anything, just the fluid. My oncolgist isn't worried, just…

Is anyone else juicing?
I heard a podcast interview recently with a woman who believe juicing saved her life. Then the next day at the thrift store, I found a nice juicer for $9. Tried making some juices today, and liked them. But I have a lot of questions about juicing. Curious if others are doing this.

visiting over here
I am visiting over here from the uterine cancer page. I have a friend and very close neighbor who is having surgery on this coming Monday. I'm not real clear on the details but they will be using a wire? She was diagnosed with an agressive form of cancer and we are all really hoping it has not gone into her lymph nodes. My…

Breast CA now in lung
I was always under the impression although neither are good that having unrelated cancer was better or more treatable than metastatic cancer. A friend is triple negative breast ca that has gone to her liver and they are telling her that’s “better” than having a new cancer. True? Not true?

Value in sharing not-so-great experiences?
I'm in an okay place right now, just recently announced as a "survivor," in remission, but wow my journey over the last 3+ years was one damn effed-up thing after another: * ● did the wrong things delaying diagnosis cuz fear and denial, and made my situation worse, had a ridonx tumor the size of a pool-ball * ● the…

Thank Goodness for my nurse advocate
I just got off the phone with my oncoligist office and was a bit nervous/upset. I was just told that I need a staging ct scan before I start my next round of chemo with Xeldoa/Capectabine. I looked it up on the internet and it just confused me and scared me more. I also have been so confused on how they staged my cancer…
