And the hits just keep on comin'
So. It seems that while on chemo, with my immune system compromised, I picked up a MRSA infection. A large lump swelled up in my non-cancerous breast and I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I knew it was something other than cancer because it hurt like crazy, turned red, and started weeping. Turns out, it's a…

Didn't think I would worry, but then . . .
I finished treatment (chemo, surgery, radiation) in July and had my survivorship plan meeting in October. Tuesday I am going for a Dexascan (now on AI), and first mammogram since treatment. After the survivorship plan was positive, I thought going for tests would not affect me. Right now it's all I can think about. I have…

AM I crazy to not do hormone therapy?
I am 42 years old, had a 2.4 cm tumor removed, nodes clear. I did 6.5 weeks of radiation, ONCA score of 12. I have always had anxiety and have taken Lexapro for years with great results. Now - after only 2 shots of Lupron - I feel horrible. Depressed, anxious, horrible insomnia. So - should I try a different anti-anxiety…

Chemo or No chemo
...Can't sleep, After meeting with my medical oncologist yesterday, I left with no real answers on whether or not to do chemo. I had a double mastectomy on 9/27 and I'm almost 1/2 way through the reconstruction. Last week I had good news that I would not need to do radiation so I assumed (and remained hopeful) this would…
