Another joke
Ice Cream Anyone? There was a robin who decided to get up especially early to get some worms. It had rained the night before and there were worms aplenty for many birds, but this robin thought he would eat them all before his siblings woke-up. After consuming all the worms he could stuff into his already overstuffed…

Today's joke---MATERNAL MIRACLES
A woman went to her doctor's office where she was seen by a young new doctor. After about four minutes in the examination room, the doctor told her she was pregnant. She burst out screaming and ran down the hallway. An older doctor stopped her and asked what the problem was. She told him her story. After listening, he had…

Burning Pain
I don't post alot here, but certainly read all the posts by everyone. It's so consoling. I'm 2 weeks post-op and have had a burning under my arms that is so bad. I almost can't even let any clothing touch the area. Has any one else ever experienced anything like this? I may be calling my surgeon tomorrow to see if this is…

Hair loss question
Hello, everyone - I'm new to this board, and very happy to have found such a friendly, positive group here! I'm just about recovered from bilateral lumpectomies and sentinel node biopsies four weeks ago, and will be starting chemo soon, and wanted to ask about your experiences with losing your hair. I've used this as an…

Post treatment follow-up
Hi, I am new to these boards and had a couple of questions for everyone. I was diagnosed in Feb. with IDC with no lymph node involvement. In March I had a double mastecomy with reconstuction. My tumor was 2.4cm so I also had 4 rounds of chemo which I just finished up in early June. I am starting tamoxifine next week…

Bucket Lists...
In an earlier post, someone mentioned a "bucket list" (things that you really want to do one day, accomplish, see, love etc)... I think that as survivors the goal being to get through all of our individual treatments in order to get on with Living our lives... with a better perspective of how precious our time really…

Delay again and apologies
OK, back again. First of all, my sincere apologies if my first post offended anyone. Second of all -- I am a man whose wife has Breast Cancer. Please .. I do not wish to offend anyone. If I do let me know. I'm going through pressures myself, and I have no one to talk to. My wife was supposed to start chemotherapy today,…

ER and PR positive
Looking at my path reports, I see that I'm 90% ER and PR positive. I don't even know what that means. I'm not taking any meds or having any treatments. Can someone please help me understand. My doc saids that since my c was non-invasive DCIS that ER and PR does not apply to me. I'm confused!!!!! Tracy

In Remission?
What does being in remission mean to you? Are we all in remission? Is that what all of us bc survivors are in? Remission? I thought cancer free meant just that, free of cancer. Not in remission. Thanks! Susie

Not a blonde joke for today
Baby's First Doctor Visit I hope it will give you a smile! A woman and a baby were in the doctor's examining room, waiting for the doctor to come in for the baby's first exam. The doctor arrived, and examined the baby, checked his weight, and being a little concerned, asked if the baby was breast-fed or bottle-fed.…

today's blonde joke
A highway patrolman pulled alongside a speeding car on the freeway. Glancing at the car, he was astounded to see that the blonde behind the wheel was knitting! Realizing that she was oblivious to his flashing lights and siren, the trooper cranked down his window, turned on his bullhorn and yelled, 'PULL OVER!' 'NO!' the…

AVA UPDATE
Little Ava saw her doctor yesterday, she has gained almost a pound and has grown a bit more than 2 inches. She has a bit of a problem with her tear ducts so she is being treated for that. Her jaundice is still there, ever so slight. Unless she starts to have more problems the doctor will see her in a month, if the jaundice…

Sarcastic Question :)
So..... i was just walking down the hall and noticed this guy that i work with and this thought popped into my head: Why, when a guy shaves his head for the summer time so he won't get as hot/sweaty, whatever, that by fall it is almost back to where you can't tell he buzzed it, when it seems to take a lifetime for our…

Hello Kindred Spirits! Well, I SHOULD be back from my 4th of July trip to Lake Tahoe. I SHOULD have already posted about my awesome trip visiting one of our BC sisters last month! Alas, though, I had a GRAND vacation, and the 4th was a celebration worthy of epic poetry~ I am not home yet. And why, you ask? You didn't ask,…
