Thoughts on Soy Products
After my cancer, which was "feeding" on the estrogen in my body, my doctors told me to avoid any soy products like the plague. So, I've been diligently doing that for 3+ years' now. Until earlier this week, however. My husband is a camp director, and I discovered in a roundabout way that most of the foods we serve in our…

A nice thought
A friend of mine forwarded this to me.... I liked it and thought I would share it. An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the…

Toni - Neupogene
Toni, If they decide that you need something for your white blood cell count, try to get them to let you use, Neupogen instead of Neulasta. You have to have the shot daily (for up to 10 days - mine ranged from 4 to 10 days according on how low my counts were). I had much better side effect management with Neupogene. By…

Shingles
I am a three-year survivor of breast cancer. After three years of ease, I developed lymphodema in my left arm. I had physical therapy for several months before deciding that it was getting no better (thankfully also no worse). About 10 days ago I had a sore place on my back. My cancer doctor said it might be just a pulled…
