Breast Cancer in Jan. Lung cancer in April and now what else?
I can't believe this is happening again. I thought I was doing great after my lumpectomy in Jan 02 and then the removal of the left upper lobe of my lungs in April 02. The lung cancer was discovered through a routine xray for my breast cancer. I just got the results from the CAT scan I had last week to check the other…

DCIS Newly Diagnosed
I am newly diagnosed with DCIS. The treatment (mastectomy, breast reconstruction, etc.) is so drastic for something that I'm told is pre-cancerous and good since it was caught so early. I had 5 cancerous of 6 biopsy sites (2 masses and 4 cluster microcalcifications). Both breast are affected. Can anyone identify with me…

Surgery .... gross-o-rama!!! lol
Hi sisters! So, I went to the chest surgeon yesterday ... I will be having that dreaded bone resection on July 10. He gave me some insight into the procedure ... 5-6 inch incision, remove a 4-5 inch piece of the bone, sew me up. They don't replace the removed portion with anything ... seems odd to me but he's the doc ...…

thank you
Hi. Thanks to Angie, Shirlann, and Emmi for your responses. I never thought of it as a good thing, I guess, but when you said it may be too small and they are worried they won't get enough, it clicked with somehting the surgeon said too. He did not feel a biopsy was necessary at all and does not consider what he feels as a…
