Ultrasound Report - can someon interpret?
I was diagnosed in September 2010 with uterine cancer. Full hysterectomy in October 2010. I have had some bleeding and the gyno/onco can't seem to figure out why. He sent me for an ultrasound which came back completely normal. One thing piqued my interest -- the ultrasound report says the following: Collateral EPR History:…

Seems strange, but I've just found out about Linda. I found Linda and this website when my sister had her first reoccurance of uterine cancer, 4 months after her surgery. It was Linda and all of you warrior sisters that helped me help my sister. I think I knew that Linda was very close to her new begining that kept me…

CA125 nadir after successful recurrence treatment compared with that at the conclusion of the succes
Those of you who have recurred and then went into remission, was your CA125 at the end of the successful recurrence treatment lower, higher, or about the same as it was when you first went into remission? More broadly, if you had multiple remissions, do the CA125 nadir value after each successful treatment vary?

leg pain from taxol
I just started Chemo last week for Uterine Cancer. I am taking Taxol and Carboplatine. 2 days later I experienced severe leg pain. I had to go to the emergency room and they said it was 100% due to taxol. As I am reading about some others on here who have experienced it, I noticed many of them are from 2004, 2002. I am…

Missing Miss Linda
Linda and her family have been on my mind all day... My heart aches for them and I pray that the Lord is comforting them as only he can. I remember how much she loved Christmas with her children and especially her grandchildren. In the early days... the first Christmas after dx, it was so important to her to make memories…

Comprehensive Update--Good News!--Almost NED (only two small lung nodules to go)--through Megace and
I don’t post as often as I’d like here, mostly because I’ve been preoccupied with searching out (and implementing) treatment strategies. But I do lurk, and I wanted to share my recent good news with you. I think the last time I posted anything was in relation to seeking a second opinion. I did that because I was frustrated…

Avoiding Regrets
I just received this from a nurse friend of mine. Something to think about. http://www.activistpost.com/2011/11/top-5-regrets-of-dying.html For many years I worked in palliative care. My patients were those who had gone home to die. Some incredibly special times were shared. I was with them for the last 3-12 weeks of their…

Brachytherapy - The good, the bad and the ugly
In case anyone is interested, here is how my first round of brachy went with two more to go. My appointment was at 1:00 on Friday. They were a little late getting me in. I met with the nurse and went over all the usual stuff, allergies, drugs I’m on, any issues. An aide took me to a room that resembled a bank vault, double…

Radiation update
I said I would post as my radiation progressed but it has been rather uneventful. I just completed my 25 rounds of pelvic radiation today (whoopee) and I’m happy to report, no major side effects. Nervous about chemo, among other things
This is my first original post. I am 38. I was diagnosed with grade 3 endometrial cancer on Oct. 5th. I had a complete hystorectomy on 10/28. That was a long wait. My file was sent to one oncologist, a week later I found out she no longer worked at the clinic and no one notified me. Not an awesome way to start. In…

Anyone have symptoms with mets to the lungs ?
I just had CT scan in Oct showing growth again in lungs ( not long after 6 months of Cisplatin/Doxirubucin). PET/CT combined in Nov. showed more growth but not real high SUV rate, so onc does not categorize as aggressive. We are trying tamoxifen for 90 days and then will probably repeat Carboplatin/taxol after first of…
