Treatment is hard
I had a rough time with my last round of chemo. I felt sick since second infusion and after the third infusion I basically could not get out of bed. I called my doctor after four days in bed and when she saw what shape I was in she sent me to the ER across the street. After the usual barrage of tests I was admitted. I…

The UK's Telegraph (8/17, Adams) reported, "At present the chemotherapy drug paclitaxel, also known by its brand names Paxol and Abraxane, is often prescribed to shrink ovarian tumors by stopping cancer cells dividing," but "some ovarian cancers are resistant to such drugs, known as taxanes." Yesterday I went for my last infusion of Doxil (8). My main concern was the CA125 (it is like this obsession. I have to know the number.) I had a fear that the number went up. But it stayed the exact same as last time. It is 30.6 I guess I thought since it jumped last time that it was going to jump this time and I was…

PPC and Recurrence
I have been wondering if any of our teal warriors have had a recurrence of PPC... If so, what has the line of treatment been? Thankfully, I have been in remission since finishing my chemo in December, but I can't help but think about it returning in the future. It seems like with ovarian cancer, it can be managed with…

An incompetant doctor
Not sure if I have shared this with you all, but I went to see my GP (primary care doctor) with 4 minor issues. So I am very happy with…
