Carol's first day of chemo....
Hi Carol, Just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers while getting your first round of chemo. It's a big day, but I'm confident everything is going to go just fine! I hope you are resting peacefully from the pre-meds. Much love...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)

Hi All, I have been thinking of you all and miss you bunches. I have had a real difficult time getting on the site lately, today was much better. I feel okay, mostly. Coming out of my fog a little. It's still so hard. Getting ready to resume the "oh so much fun" Dr visits. I hope to get out in my garden more, now that we…

New T-Cell lymphoma treatments on the horizon
This applies specifically to Peripheral T-Cell Lymphomas. At treatment Monday, I was advised by my clinical trial/study nurse that a couple of new combinations are being worked on by Fred Hutchinson: Specifically, I-CEOP, which will combine Istodax (Romidepsin) with Etoposide, vincristine, prednisone, and…

T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma in an 'old lady'
Hi Just joined this site in search of someone like me. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma last fall. I've been through my 6-month induction treatments and now have about 16 more months of maintenance treatments to complete. As I understand it, this 'version' of cancer typically hits young men - not…

New Riddle - easy I think ☺
Full of love, caring and vigilance I read and post on CSN with diligence. To provide an ear or advice, I'm never too busy. I love my little miracle who rhymes with dizzy. Who am I? ☺

A new riddle
Have a great day everyone! Riddle: (I didn't get it and felt a little stupid when I got the answer - if I had a dollar for everytime I felt stupid, I'd be pretty wealthy by now;)). Forward I'm heavy, but backwards I'm not. What am I?

Brought this to the top for Carol....she needs our support.
April 24, 2012 - 10:03am Today the onocologist begins. new All of my stuff has gotten here from MD Anderson and I will find out what they are going to do to me here for treatment. Sounded gruesome when they spoke of it in Houston. I am battling a rotten bladder infection on top of it all. I feel like throwing in the towel.…

I'm going to vent here... Grrrrrrr... Lately, I feel like I'm contantly fighting with this website. I know it's free and how valuable it is to us and I'm thankful we have it. Lately (past 2-3 weeks), I'm having so many problems getting on or staying on the site. It constantly drops me right in the middle of posting or…

Riddled with Riddles (another one) :)
Blame John (Cobra) and Denise (Scuttlebug) :) . ================================================ A sharpshooter hung up his hat and put on a blindfold. He then walked 100 yards, turned around, and shot a bullet through his hat. The blindfold was a perfectly good one, completely blocking the man's vision. How did he manage…

Hello all, I can't believe I still don't know what I should know. Anyway, I wanted to post 2 paragraghs from the radiologe site. I am unable to do so. Therefore, I will post 2 separate posts. I believe I have had only pet scans since I was dx in Sept 2009. I thought I read at one time, there is a combined Pet Scan and Ct…

The Thymus
I recently had a CT scan (instead of my normal PET scan) and it was noted that the Thymus had decreased considerably in size. I know very little of this gland except that it is large when you are a child and shrinks as you age and this is where the T-cell and B-cells originate from. I have Follicular NH Lymphoma, not…

In the Hospital
Just an update. I finished my 6 treatments of R-chop for MCL. My oncologist odered a CT scan and they wanted more so they ordered a PET scan which showed cancer still in the groin. living with Follicular Lymphoma 5 years
I saw my first physician with pain in my left side in 2007. The ultrasound revealed my spleen was swollen. My doctor said spleen's do that when a body is fighting off infection. I asked if I could see a specialist and she said that wouldn't be necessary. I found another primary and after my gallbladder was taken out I…

Thanks for helping me decide.
I am one of those singular posters who does not return. I was diagnosed with MCL on 12/23/11. I completed my fouth cycle on the 13th of April and the Pet scan showed no sign of the cancer. Still feeling pretty lousy from last weeks treatment. I was drawn to this site like that moth Jim described to a flame. So confused and…
