I also have an acupuncturist that I have seen for other issues as well. I'd like to hear other peoples thoughts on this. Also I keep having this left side pain…

Stomach Ph and TKI
I just attended a talk given by a pharmacist at Cedars Sinai on Monday for our monthly Kidney Cancer Support group. One of the most fascinating parts of her talk had to do with how stomach acidity can affect metabolizing the drugs we are being prescribed to treat our cancer. She said that antacids are one of the most…

Hi Everyone, Thank you for all the support you showed me the day I wrote in stating they had found a mass on my kidney. Received news last month. Looking for input...
Hi to everyone!! I am 49 years old. I was sent for an ultrasound nov. 2013 to rule out gallbladder attack. It was ruled out. A spot was found on lower lobe right kidney but nothing of concern at that time. In March, I woke very sick one day (thought food poisoning) with some abdominal pain. Sent for another ultrasound…

Bone mets in knees or feet?
When they do our scans, they stop mid thigh. Does anybody know if it's possible to get mets in your feet or knees? I've had worsening pain in the large joint in my right foot for over a year. GOOD NEWS: NED
I remain NED, but this time with a caveat. I do have something growing -- a few items, but it might be an artifact of changing from MRI to CT, said the Dr. One lymph node has grown over a year from .8 to 1.1 cm; Dr says we won't worry about it until it is bigger, as there are many reasons why it can be 1.1 cm...at 1.5 cm,…

My mass was an incidental find on a CT, 3 weeks after having my…

Kidney Mass discovered
I'm 38 y/o female. Was in the hospital for a complex UTI that ran up into my kidney and they did a CT Scan w/ contrast on me. I was told that I have a cyst (1.2 cm) and that I should have a follow up done. Before being discharged from the hospital the Dr wanted me to get a ultrasound to get a closer look at the cyst. The…

Burst blood vessel in the eye (subjunctival hemorrhage)
I've been getting these a lot since my kidney was removed. Even more in the past 6 months. May be random, and nothing to do with my lack of kidney and adrenal gland or cancer, but I was wondering if anybody else has experienced these? The most recent one has lasted almost 2 weeks and was really quite awful. It actually…

A decision to make re Stage 4 Treatment
Hi All, I'll preface this by saying I'm based in Sydney, Australia. My father was diagnosed with Stage 4 RCC in December 2014. We've been on a roller coaster ride since then!
