Votrient/Pazopanib
I don't post very often. First of all, TW, you are in my thoughts and prayers daily and Fox, thanks for keeping me laughing! I went today for my 20 week clinical study Ct scans. I was surprised that the insurance declined the pelvic ct, along with the abdomen ct withOUT contrast - not sure if this is strange, or what! The…

if you have a hard time posting
Something you veterans probably already know: Sometimes it takes a minute for your posting to get posted, you just have to wait. But occasionally it never clears. If your posting takes forever to act - if selecting "Post Comment" simply stays on that page forever - just select Preview Comment to get out of the loop and go…

OK, I need to lighten the mood.
This grizzly old biker is sitting in McDonalds having some lunch. He watches as an older couple enter. She goes and sits down near the biker as her husband goes up to the counter and orders some food. He comes back and sits with her. First she takes a napkin, carefully rips it in half, places 1/2 next to her husband and…

Well, I lost a week of my life.....
Hey all. So you may remember that I went for il-2 therapy a couple weeks ago. All was going well, and I just about finished the treatment. But towards the end, my blood pressure began to dip dangerously low. I had to be intubated and therein begins my week from hell. Pretty sure I don't know what happened, or why. I do…

Hi Guys, I have been on here before and you've all been such great help! I really appreciate it. I had a small complex mass that was found on my kidney by accident and we were monitoring it. My GP wanted to repeat the US in another 3-6 months to check for growth. I requested that we push it out 6 months (February), since…

Had a Zometa infusion yesterday
I was planning a wonderful relaxing kayak trip down the Chattahoochee River yesterday. The oncologist's office called as we were getting ready to go. After covering myself with suntan lotion and bug spray, I had to shorten the trip and had to hoof it to the oncologist's office yesterday afternoon to get an infusion of…

Its Friday!!!
Two guys were discussing popular family trends on sex, marriage, and Family values. Bill said, 'I didn't sleep with my wife before we got married, did you?' Larry replied, 'I'm not sure, what was her maiden name?' ___________________________________________ A little boy went up to his father and asked: 'Dad, where did my…

Good day my friends, I awoke this morning (great news) and noted that I had Petechiae across my lower abdomen. I am not on any blood thinners, blood pressure or cardiace related drugs. Test(s) news
Saw my oncology nurse this morning. I've been recertified for another three months, with no more tests (other than labs) for 6 months. Kind of makes me feel like a fire extinquisher-they check and retag them yearly and they have to be inspected and marked every month. There were no changes in everything that was CT…

radiation
Well,I finished my radiation series today. 5 sessions on a rib, and 3 steriotactic sessions on my t6 vertebrae. I felt nothing from my rib. But my spine ached quite a bit for a day or two after each session. Percs have been very helpful. Doc told me that radiation fatigue would hit me big time. I just have felt a little…

Worried about my mom - Update
Update - I had gotten my mom an appointment with her family doctor because she wasn't feeling well and I wasn't sure where to start. She had her labwork done after lunch and before we could get to her appointment he sent us to the ER (because he isn't a practicing physician at the hospital her oncologist is at). Her…

Is there a general consensus of RCC growth rate?
I have been told by two doctors that they never answer that question as they are not sure. However, I have seen several different posts whereby some suggestions were given by their doctors. Some of which stated that RCC can grow 1/2 cm a year or sometimes even 1 mm a year. I guess it depends on what grade it is. Anyone…
