"The Silver Tongued Devil"
(Kris Kristofferson reference) I have been wrestling with ways to eliminate trolls from this site (even though I am not being paid to do so, and so must just be a total nerd). I thought of a number of techno items (and passed these on), but they don't work with creeps. Creeps are like cockroaches and they just multiply.…

"Please don't tell me how the story ends"
(Kris Kristofferson/Rita Coolidge reference) I have been having some back and forths with my nurses and whomevers, the ladies who call you back to say they don't know the answers but will put you through to someone who does and who then turns out to be an answering machine. I do know, now, that my surgery is out-patient,…

"A Kodiak-looking fellow, about seven feet tall"
(Jimmy Buffett reference) During what was a busy week for me these days, especially when the week is only two days old, I went in for a CT scan one day, and on that very day was directed as well to get some blood work done. Whoo! I was worn out. That should be the end of my week, eh? GastroPod (aka GI Joe) wanted me in his…

Tooth extraction yesterday-no hyperbaric-watching for healing process
Hi everyone. We have been having this discussion for some time now and thought I should update everyone on my progress. Biopsy Results Came In
So I had my one year appointment on the 11th of this month. I thought it was going to be a celebration but instead my doctor found something in my nasopharynx during the scope and he wanted to take a biopsy. It was a blow to the gut plus I had to wait like 10 days for the procedure. I had the procedure a week ago today and…

One Year Ago
Well, three days from today will mark the first anniversary of that dreaded phone call when the nurse said "Roger, you have cancer in your parotid gland". I don't think I will ever forget that phone call. It was much worse than the one I received almost exactly one year prior to that when the Doc said "Roger you have a…

"Just keep me wondering' "
(Allman Brothers Band reference) GastroPod ran me off to a joint that could do some blood work, so he would have it at 11AM for our meeting. If things weren't scary before, they aren't now. So what? Um, I DID buy two cases of beer today and intend to enjoy them completely, so bear with me or not. Thing is, when I went in…
