After nine years, my cancer is back with a new tumor, hopefully isolated. I'll be having surgery again at Sloan Kettering (Dr. Paty) probably followed by EPIC. I really thought I was done. Dam. Alice

Ugh, cat scan on Monday and feeling worried
I'm just having a tough time right now. The cat scan is to see what's going on in the lung they radiated the mets in and to check on the third spot which they said wasn't cancerous after the PET scan early this year. The last scan showed it might be getting bigger. I've been trying not to worry about it but a couple of…

Staging (John?) Others Am I Stage IV?
Really does not make a difference with the stats and the rest. But I know there was discussion about whether stages change or how it is called. I recall John having some information, that it is your initial stage with Mets to elsewhere. So in other words, I was diagnosed as IIIC with spots too small to know for sure in the…

Probably No Longer NED, But Still Overall Good Though Surgery Pending
Got PET results back. Between all the factors, including increase in size and this bad boy lighting up a bit, looks like it is time for wedge on the lungs. They are working on getting appointment with thoracic surgeon for me in the next week or so. But overall very positive, in a location that is hopefully easy to work on…

Time to Live Life Once Again
Hi all, I had my 3 month post surgery blood work and CT scans a couple weeks ago. I am happy to report my CEA count was the lowest it has been since this all began nearly 5 years ago. Urgh - It May Be Back
PET Scan time, one of those blips in the lungs does not look like it is behaving properly. I suggested giving it a "time out," but Oncologist said that doesn't work usually. On the good news side, the other biopsy for the new cancer is probably going to be postponed if this is something and the Oncologist said if this one…

Confirmed Colon Cancer on Liver After 13 Years of NED [Dad]
Hi All, It was confirmed through a needle biopsy that the spot on my dad's liver that showed up on the PET scan is colon cancer. I am sad, but we're in good spirits and ready to fight! The surgeon wants to be sure of the size and location so I believe he will need a MRI or CT, but first the surgeon has to get in touch with…
