Alpha Lipoic Acid & Low Dose Naltrexone
Another day, another adjuvant treatment to add to the battle with my little mutants. Today I started Alpha Lipoic Acid IV, in combination with low dose Naltrexone. There is no definitive phase 3 trial to prove the benefits of this treatment, but there is enough research and anecdotal evidence for me to justify having a go.…

Will Cetuximab work if Kras codon 13 is mutated?
I have no idea what a "codon" is and the article is not easy to read but it is rather informative and hopefully helpful for Kras mutants as it seems to suggest use of cetuximab and/or panitumumab www.plosone.org/article/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pone.0055793 "...In summary, our data make sense in light of five recent…

Hello, All My Friends
Just wanted to bring you up to speed with our situation. We are spending most of our days, running from doc to doc or hospitals, so I haven't talked to JBG for a few days. She was feeling pretty good then. Not sure when she goes for follow-up, probably soon though. Since we go day to day(with constant changes), the plan…

Hi, I am new here to this forum but not new to cancer. I was diagnosed almost 3 years ago (July 2010) with stage 3 rectal cancer. I had 6 weeks 5fu chemo and radiation which shrunk the tumor quite a bit. The tumor was up high in the rectum and the doctor removed my entire rectum and part of my colon. He had enough that he…

Tumour Devascularization
I was not going post any more of my reseach on this forum, but have been asked to do so by a few people, so this is just for you. I spent about 2 months researching Tumour Devascularization, also known as Devitalzation. In a nutshell this procedure involves ligating all blood vessels feeding a tumour, and allowing the…

"Is it Kind? Is it True? Is it Necessary?"
I'm stealing this from a political site I frequent (where the infighting is about ten times worse than anything here, I might add). This is a "rule" set forth by one long time member. Before posting, ask yourself "Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?". If the answer to any one of those questions is "no", then don't…
