Home from the hospital
As I've posted before, I had my surgery on 1-10. It took six hours (4:30-10:30pm), removed the entire rectum (anus, sphincter, everything) and cost me about two pints of blood. After a brief stay in recovery they moved me back to my room, reduced my pain meds to 20% of the pre-surgical level, and failed to re-connect the…

Sometime I just wonder
I feel so lucky for being cancer free (as far as I know or until they tell me otherwise) Since I have been diagnosed it has been weird, I thought I would be dead by now. I saw it kill my mom and her mom, surely no one survives colon cancer right? Survivor guilt has started a bit now, I know my mom and grandma would be the…

Oxygen therapy, does this work?
Has anyone heard of oxygen therapy during chemo. I was researching and read that oxygen therapy helps kill cancer cells. Cancer cells do not thrive will in oxygenated environment. And the other body cells need oxygen.

Today is Friday. Every Friday we start the same way. After breakfast, showering and dressing, we get in the car (or on the bikes in summer) and make our way downtown to the market. This market has been there since the 1500's. Stalls for anything and everything you could or do need. Fresh fruits and vegies. Handmade…

I Weep
Sometimes I just weep. I sob my heart out for every bad news and turn. My soul hurts for those who suffer so much more then I. Sometimes, I cannot keep reading for the tears that well up in my eyes. Sometimes, I cry, but I cry for joy. I laugh a hearty deep laugh, for those that have the most wondrous news, when a test…
