juicing nutrition
I was reading another post about nutrition and a question came to mind. What is the actual nutritional value of the juice that we make? If you were to take a whole carrot and analyze the nutritional value of it and then juice same carrot and analyze the nutritional value of the juice what would be the difference?

Poem
The Beast The corroding beast inside me dwells My flesh it does consume It's constant whisper in my ear preaches doom and gloom There seems to be no answers. No solutions to it all Nothing but a miracle will stop the beasts dark call Yet in the midst of darkness, my spirit still sees light It cannot destroy my soul or take…

Hi everyone, We went to Loyola today for a second opinion on my husband who has stage IV with mets to the liver. Neurontin (Gabapentin)
When I went to the Pain and Palliative appointment yesterday, I told him I was now on Folfox, with the Oxyplatin in it, and was afraid I was going to get neuropathy from it, and he actually gave me this drug, which signals the brain to where it should relax some of the tingling and all that. Has anyone ever used this? My…

It's All Over--Finally!
I started chemotherapy (FOLFOX) back in September, and today I finally finished the 12th and last treatment! It's been a long time and I'm so glad to be done. I had to have a few postponements because of low WBC and then platelets, which is why it's taken longer than 6 months. At the treatment center this morning the chemo…

Question on length of Chemo after surgery
Hello all, I am new to posting on this site, but I've been reading your comments for a couple of months now. He had a successful liver resection to remove four tumors from his liver 4…

Probiotic fad
The after the colonoscopy I had last week my bowels were just not working like normal. My wife decided that I needed some Probiotic help. When you have been married forever, you learn to throw them a bone every now and then just to keep peace in the home. Her logic was I had flushed all my bacteria out with the colonoscopy…

I wanted to give you the latest update and also hope some of you familiar with clinical trials and the process of getting into them can respond. Treatment Choices: The Middle Path
Being diagnosed with cancer is devastating. It is as if the doctor’s words hang suspended and echoing in the air for hours when he speaks those dreaded words: “You have cancer.” Experience has taught me (as my husband’s caregiver) that it can be equally devastating to navigate one’s way through the labyrinth of treatment…
