Is there a chance of reoccurence after double mast.?
I am finally arming myself with bits of information about my situation. I froze at diagnosis and stayed that way til now. Here's my question: I had a double mastectomy (one radical with the loss of 8 or 9-jeez lymph nodes that were all clean) at the first sign that one breast had 2 microscopic calcification crystal based…

I got an unexpected ornament...well, actually 3!!!!
I was so surprised to go to my mailbox and find a package from Carkris!!! She sent me not one, but THREE ornaments! One is a tea light holder in a replica of a Nantucket basket, and the other two are a bit harder to describe! They are similar in design; round and flat, just a bit larger than a silver dollar. One has 2…

Heart Break Update
Well it is officially over. He signed a new lease on our house we shared and my name was removed. Said he did what was best for both of us. If that's the case, why am I so miserable. Rejection is a hard thing to take especially when you feel your body has been mutilated. I feel so ugly. I have found an apt for myself and…

My Surgery Went Well
Thanks for all your thoughts & prayers. My surgery went well yesterday. I arrived at the hospital about 10 a.m. and left about 5 p.m. They removed my ovaries and fallopian tubes first. They actually went in through my belly button, so I didn't have to be cut. Then my plastic surgeon went to work. She removed that awful…

Onco switched me back to Tamoxifen
OK, I was having major side effects (well, at least I thought they were major!) and made an appointment to see my onco. SE's were: headaches (I never get headaches!!), bone pain, and general pain everywhere, worse hotflashes, fatigue etc. So he walks in and says, "So what's going on?" I said "I hate Arimedex." He then…

The Balloon---OK I laughed and you will too
A little boy blows up a balloon and starts flicking it all around the house with his finger. His mother tells him to stop it, as he's liable to break some-thing, but the boy continues. "Johnny!" Mom screams. "Knock it off. You're going to break something." He stops and eventually Mom leaves for a short trip to the shopping…

Slow healing process?
I had my last surgery on my breast ( to place the mammosite tube) on Oct.13th. My incision is just not healing. I went to my Dr. yesterday, he deadened it and cleaned all the dead skin off, he doesn't think it's infected, but it is now about the size of a quarter, and about that deep, open sore. There hasn't been many…
