Stress, Guilt, Relief
Feeling very guilty that I didn't go with my wife to chemo #2 today, but she had a friend go with her, and everything seemed to go well (no problem finding a vein today). I want to be there for all of them, but I don't have a lot of time to take off from work. I am going tomorrow for the more stressful shaving of the head…

Vacation was GREAT, but I'm home now...
Hello everyone. Two weeks is a long time to be away. I did manage to check in now and then to catch up here--whenever there was a computer available, but too busy to write much. I hope you all are doing well. I'd never been to Bodega Bay, and it was just wonderful! We even saw a whale spouting, but were not able to see the…

Anyone have experience with neupogen?
Woke up in the middle of the night with the most horrible back pains. Took a couple darvocet and a heating pad, which worked for a couple hours. But I don't want to spend my day at work in a drugged stupor. Anyone know how long this side effect lasts?

What is your favorite tip or advice you'd like to share
The very best "tried and true" tip a relative gave me was, if you scald your mouth by eating or drinking somethig hot, immediately swish a teaspoon of sugar in your mouth. It stops the burn and heals the tissue on contact. Well, I don't know about you, but I do that quite frequently while enjoying my cup of joe...thank…

Newly diagnosed
Hi! I'm new to all of this. Three weeks ago yesterday, I went in for my yearly mammogram. They found a "spot" and I had a needle biopsy 4 days later. This Friday, I am going to have a lumpectomy. A month after that I will start radiation for 6-7 weeks, unless chemo postpones that. My husband is out of town visiting his…

Anyone struggled with C-Diff also lymphedema in hand and arm are freaking me out.
I am due for my last chemo of T/C tomorrow. I am terrified as I have fought C-Diff after each chemo. I am afraid that I am weaker this time. I am taking Vancomycin by mouth. I'm not sure why I am so afraid of the last one. I think I am worried about being able to cope with going back to work as a nurse, what if I'm too…

How hot is it where you are?
Central NY - it's in the 90's and humid. We don't often have this heat, or at least not long, but it's a 'heat wave' according to reports. Dogs have a kiddie pool and are using it often. I'm rural and on a hill, usually a breeze, but it's hot! Cool bath, a/c in bedroom and fans, fans, fans! How are you all doing? Sue
