Word for the day
Psalm 145:14-19...the Lord upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look expectantly to You, and You give them their food in due season. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works. The Lord is near to…

Does anyone have problems with their arm still hurting after sentinal node biopsy?
I had a lumpectomy with Sentinal Node Biopsy in Feb. My arm still aches! does it ever quit? Also, I had radiation that ended in May, when does swelling of the breast go away, and the aches? The Surgeon didn't tell me what he would be cutting to find sentinal node, so I am just a wonderiing!

NED It is!
Mammogram yesterday, and just heard that all is well.....thank goodness. Now I am looking forward to a "sleep deprived" Brain EEG on Friday, the 25th. What the heck is that? Have had a regular EEG, but this one is allowing four hours sleep in the 24 hours prior to the EEG, and no caffine either. Guess they want to see if…

B39 Trial Study for radiation
I was offered to participate in a trial study called B39. The study is to determine if partial breast radiation 2x day for 5-10 days is as effective as whole breast radiation 1x day for 5-7 weeks. They especially wanted someone in my age group (43) because there haven't been very many in the study under 50. Have any of you…

Back from vacation
Well, I certainly picked an eventful week on the boards to go on a cruise! I've been trying to catch up and feeling a bit (OK, a lot) overwhelmed. Sad to hear about recurrences :..( and happy to hear about new grads and upcoming nuptuals :-))). At the advice of my dear cousin that is a cancer survivor herself (uterine), my…

After chemo is done, how long is the wait until the docs rec. tamoxifen?
I was just wondering, after the chemo is done, what is the typical procedure? I won't need radiation, but Tamoxifen was recommended for at least 2 years followed by Aromasin. I am assuming I will need a catscan/petscan after the chemo is completed. It would be nice to have a break before oral chemo, especially since I have…

Funky vein looking thing...
Hi Invisi-Sistas! OK so I did a whole lot of worrying for nothing. Still on for nipple reconstruction this Saturday. Starting to overeat in an effort to cope. What's new? Anyway, I kept seeing this strange large "thing" that resembled a large vein moving aroud the top of my boob. I thought I'd better tell the plastic…
