Another update
Labs, Dr.'s visit, and infusion day. Got the results back from my last CTscan today. All of my tumors have remained stable. My oncologist says that the 3/4 in tumor in my neck feels like mush and that two others look like they have a bad case of necrosis. It has been a year now that I have been on the immunotherapy drug…

Fun cancer camp my kids went to
Last year while I was doing chemo treatments I found a camp for kids that have parents who have cancer. It was too late for my kids to go last year but my two kiddos just got back from a 6 day camp called camp kesam. This camp is run by college students all over the country. Most states are included. There is two in utah…

Cancer Across the Pond, Con't
Hey Ladies, I am home again after my 7th trip to Germany in 7 months (one more to go, then break for awhile, probably til the end of the year). While I was there, they completed the 4th chemoembolization of a 4 treatment plan (once a month for four months), and then two days later went in and did laser ablation on the…

Hey everybody
A week ago last Friday, just after my docs determined that I'd had some small strokes, probably caused by the cancer, I was checked into the hospital, where I proceeded to have a larger (still not massive one). Left hand and left side of mouth were partially paralyzed. I'm in a great rehab unit and have got back much of…

work problems
There is not much I can do about this to really change my situation. At least not as soon as I would want to. There is something I just wanted to get out there, So as most of you know, when I was going through chemo treatments last Augast I took 3 months off work and then went back to work. I wasnt in the best spot to…

My rant of the day
My rant of the day. I had a CT scan scheduled for 9 this morning. Drank my delicious smoothie at 7 and 8. Filled out the regular paper work and at 9 the receptionist came over to say that they were having a problem with the machine and it would be a few minutes. 20 minutes later the tech comes out to say that They have…

Fear
Has any one else had rather severe pain beneath their ribs and shoulder blade? Sometimes my whole chest seems like it tight binding around it. Sometime just a jabbing pain, sometimes dull. First thought it was heartburn. My oncologist ordered a CT scan to make sure my wayward tumors haven't gone looking for a new home…

Feeling paralyzed... new member
Hello All! I'm a new member. I was diagnosed with "stage Ia" in Oct. 2016 but opted for preogesterone treatment to try to preserve fertility. Didn't work... I had a D&C in June 2017 and there is myometrial superficial invasion, FIGO 2. I'm so scared. Can't function. Pending hysterectomy and staging. I don't even know what…

Gastroenteritis after radiation.
I know this is a generic term, but did anyone else here experience long-term gastroenteritis after radiation? I had a serious problem during the treatment and have had issues on and off for the whole year and a half since. At first it was loose bowels but afterwards it became strictures and inflammation for months at a…

Flood of clear fluid
I found this wonderful support system and have a question that I cannot find an answer to. I am hoping someone might be able to give me some insight. I am 56 years old and went through menopause late at the age of 54. About 3 months ago I had some vaginal bleeding and didn't think anything of it until I had my physical…

discouraging appointment
Feeling very discouraged. Went to 6 weeks post chemo appt. The point, as I understand it, is for the oncologist to see how we are doing. So a friend went along. I said I was feeling well but had questions. In the course of conversation he said WHEN it comes back. . . not if. Granted I have stage 4B. Also I have to take…

Advice required
Hi all, This is my first time posting here and just looking for some advice. I'm a 51 year old with a history of fibroids. I went to my GYN two weeks ago as I'd had two months of heaving bleeding and clotting and severe cramps. She said I had a fleshy mass coming out of my cervix and sent me for an ultrasound. I went for…

feeling extremely anxious
Hi. I have been diagnosed with stage III grade 3 endometrial cancer. Luckily it did not get into the lymph nodes. there was another tiny tumor outside on the lining from one of the fallopian tubes that was bent down. It was removed entirely. I need to have radiation and chemo. I go this Friday to set it all up. It is all I…

Sick Of Being Sick, Tired Of The New Normal
This is my first time posting on the boards but I have been here for about 6 months, getting encouragement and strength from all of you. I finally had to post though, I was diagnosed in March with stage 4 grade 3 Uterine Carcinosarcoma (MMMT). I have been dealing pretty well until recently. I just finished my 4th Chemo…

In the recurrence club now
My CT scan this week (done in response to a spike in my CA-125) showed multiple nodules in both lungs and a mass on the outside of my colon. My medical oncologist is calling it a systemic recurrence and says that there's now no chance of a cure or long-term NED. I'm having a biopsy this week for genomic testing; that…

Feeling Ugly
It has been four months since my last chemo and my recent CT scan showed no evidence of cancer. I know I should be ecstatic, but I am so depressed. I know this is selfish of me to feel this way, and I am super lucky to be alive, but I feel so ugly since chemo. My hair is growing back, but it's not the beautiful red it used…
