Pinching in the abdomen area
Hi Ladies, I'm going to have my 3rd chemo on Friday. Since I started the chemo I'm feeling some pinching in my abdomen. It does not hurt, it's some time and in different points. Don't know what is it? Is it the way chemo works or it's the way cancer works.... Have you felt something like that?

Surgery went well
Hi All, Just wanted to give you an update. Surgery lasted 6 hours. 12-6 on Wednesday. Wednesday night wasn't bad at all. I suppose all of the drugs may have had a lot to do with it. I was able to come home yesterday. Last night was rough. The gas pains were pretty intense. I am doing really well today. Walking and resting…

CAT Scans and CA125 testing for follow-ups for advanced cancer
Hi, I just elected not to have a CAT scan. I'm 1-1/2 years from my radical hysterectomy (stage 3 -- spread to nodes, 93% through uterine wall, positive washings) and 1 year since I finished treatment. Often, my oncologist forgets to order CA-125 and he said that CAT scans do not really change overall prognosis, that often…

How come? Did my cancer develope and grow for just 19 months?
What do you think ladies? In the fall of 2013 I had Pap test, physical, ultrasound. My Gyn Doctor then did not find anything suspicious. My fibroids were shrunk a bit and no one paid attention on my symptoms, which I recently found out were the same as for uterine cancer. In April this year I was diagnosed with Endometrial…

Looking for advice on Ureter Stent
Hi ladies, I had a ureter stent inserted on 7/7 to clear a 100% blockage in my left kidney. I have a follow up appointment on Monday the 20th but thought I'd reach out to see what experience any of you have had with yours. I feel like I have to go to the bathroom all of the time with this; I am drinking a lot of fluids as…

Giant itchy water blister
Okay, in the scheme of things this is way minor, but I have the friggin' largest water blister on my abdomen I have ever seen. It's not infected or anything and it's not at an incision site. It's just big and itchy. Anybody else experienced this after laparoscopic hysterectomy?

Clinical Trial meeting today - Wish me luck!
I have my meeting with Cedars Sinai this afternoon and will post any information I receive from it. My understanding is that they have qualified me for two different trials based on my genome test results and targeting solid metastatic tumors (which I have). I hardly got any sleep last night; not feeling anxious but more…

Good news - bad news - seesaw
Hello ladies! I have been absent for awhile because I just needed a mental break from thinking, reading, living cancer. 2014 was hard ...diagnosis, major surgery, radiation, chemo. Then a very short reprieve before discovering a recurrence in Dec. 2014, so started chemo again this January. Started out with Doxil and was…

Femara/letrozole
Over a year ago I completed my second round of chemo (carboplatin/taxol) for recurrent uterine cancer to the lungs. They said I'd had my max of chemo so they put me on Femara. I've been on it for almost a year and although it seems to be working, it sucks! My main complaints are joint and muscle pain, some hand…

Had repeat bronchoscopy
it did not show any healing from the damage From the radiation. I don't go back for two to three months. That makes me think it will take that long for healing to occur. Not very hopeful for a quick recovery. I think the bronchoscopy aggravated my cough. Itis more frequent. The. Nausea is constant, too. I was doing much…
