New Study - Pet/MRI scan - Has anyone had this?
There is a new scanning technique in the works. It has been out since summer of 2013 I think. Instead of a Pet CT this is a PET/MRI. It is supposed to be the best in scanning. If you are in the study, they will do a PET/CT then they will do the PET/MRI right after. They will use the same tracer for both tests. You still…

Hi Ladies, I'm 53 and postmenopausal. LMD was March 2012. I've been on hrt for about 1.5 years. It's been fine then in December I started spotting. This went on for 3-4 weeks on and off. Then stopped for 3 weeks and last week started up again. Had an TVUS that showed the endo stripe was 8.12mm. Gyno said it was borderline…

Serous Uterine Cancer
I was diagnosed in November of 2013 with uterine cancer after several irregular pap smears through a period of about four years. I was incredibly stupid, ignoring a bloody discharge from my body for months, then one day waking up with clots and clots of blood which finally drove me to my gyn doctor. She sent me to a…

28yrs old and needing advice
I just recently had a uterine biopsy done. I am very nervous because I just called to see why my results were taking so long and if they hand them. The lady answers and tells me a nurse can give me the results to just hold on. The nurse answered and says yes she can give me the results to let her look up my report. That's…

Talcum Powder
I heard a guy representing the Goldwater Law Firm in Scottsdale, AZ last night on TV. He was looking for people who had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer who had used talcum powder. He said it could be Johnson's Baby Powder, Shower to Shower, or any other brand of talcum powder. He was implying that the talcum powder…

White discharge
I was wondering if anyone of you ever had a mild, white discharge years after histerectomy. I am having one. I went to the doctor, and he took a sample for a culture to check on vaginal diseases. It came back negative, than God. However, I would like to play safe and find out more, since the culture was for vaginal…

In the 6 weeks since chemo her number is already back up to 1800. CAT scan done today with no results yet. Just really nervous that her numbers…

Just diagnosed, supposedly "very early stage"
Hello everyone I was just told yesterday I have early endometrial cancer. I had laparoscip surgery almost 2 weeks ago for exploratory abdominal pain and while I was under they removed a cervical polyp. My Dr did a d&c while there but it wasn't a part of the plan originally. I'm lucky she did and found the cancer, who knows…

Support for recurrence
We just found out my mom has a recurrence of endometrial cancer. She had a hysterectomy in March 2012 and we were told it was stage 1a. She did not have any follow up treatment like chemo or radiation. I felt like that part of our lives was over. For months she has been complaining of a pain in her ribs, which developed…

Please excuse the long post. A number of members have posed questions on the discussion boards or emailed me for more information about the CSN study that has been underway since November 2013. Lung nodules
Cathy, I saw your post and hope your cardiac problems are mild. Let us know. I recently had another CT lung scan and had a wonderful report of no additional growth and three had decreased in size. I asked the doctor if this means they are not cancerous since they are to small to biopsy still. He said it's just something…

stage 4 uterine cancer
Hi, My mom was just diagnosed with stage 4 uterine cancer. Doc said it has spread to her bladder, bowel, chest and throughout her lymphatic system. The truth about lymph node removal
Latest CT scan came back showing the tumors as reduced in size, so I'm good to go for a full hysterectomy following my 6th chemo treatment (just had 5th this week). Here's my concern . . . . It is contained in the uterus with the exception of one right groin lymph node. Pet scan and recent CT showed no further spreading,…

Question about chemo "rounds" "cycles," *added* recurrence question...
What, exactly, is a "round" of chemo? What is a "cycle?" I'm not sure how to describe the treatment I'm receiving so people understand me. During September-November, I received 6 treatments with Cisplatin. Would that be a round. Would each of the 6 treatments with Cisplatin be a round? Next week I start a…
