Just venting again guys. I've been having some continuing eye problems since I finished treatment last February with RCHOP. Lingering chemo effects
My apologies if this has been addressed in a previous thread. I did a quick search but didn't see answers to my specific question. My 46yo husband just finished up 12 rounds of ABVD on June 30. By way of background, he was diagnosed with Stage IIB Hodgkin's at the end of December (right before Christmas). He began chemo…

Need advice/opinions pre biopsy
I am writing for a friend who is allergic to computers :-) Here is some backround about what is going on: Last yr. at age 46 she had her first mammogram. Apparently, there was evidence of lymph node enlargement in both armpits, which they never told her about. This year, her mammo showed the nodes again, but they were…

Long term effects from Radiation and Chemo and Zevalin
I am so very tired I get up from bed and one hour later could go back to sleep. I just can not shake this tiredness. My last cat scan was in March. It was good. Somehow I just feel like something is not right. I go for my next appointment on Sept. 1. I guess it is just puzzling to see what you get left with. Mine was…

Lots of news...
Hi... Spent 2 hours at the clinic today. UGH! Soooo much information to sort through! First of all...the cancer hasn't gotten to the bone yet.BMB showed no sign of cancer. However...my doctor does not want to "watchfully wait" but instead start chemo on August 10th. She is worried about my loss of weight and the tumors in…

Can't win for losing sometimes
I went for my treatment last thursday and my onc said he won't do another scan until I tell him I don't feel right again. He doesn't want to expose me to any more radiation than necessary. Said for each pet/ct scan it's the equivalent of 250 chest xrays! I figure at this point I am over 1700 and that didn't include my…

Partner of Hodgkin Lymphoma survivor
I met my partner almost a year after his treatment ended for Hodgkin Lymphoma. He's an amazing individual and I care for him dearly. I understand that I have no concept of what he went through but I'm trying to learn and understand as much as I possibly can. His diagnosis is excellent and his last CT scan shows that there…

Upcoming CT Scan
Well I'm 5 1/2 months out of chemo, RCHOP, and 4 1/2 months since my last scan. My Onc wanted to wait until Sept to do my next scan. I wasn't comfortable waiting that long so I'm having my CTs this Friday. So now I'm getting nervous and wondering why I do this to my self. Last time we went 6 months I had my recurrance so…

This is creepy!!
I just need to ask if anyone has had weird stuff go on with their toenails during and after treatment? I noticed my nails looking odd before I was done with treatment and they just kept getting uglier. Well now they are falling off one by one. I only have 3 left and they look like they could go at any time. It's not…

Why call at all?
My doctors nurse just called to tell me 2 of 3 parts of my BMB results came back. So far it shows no cancer...BUT...the last part is still needed to "CONFIRM" no cancer. I was just so happy to hear about the 2 parts being cancer free that I failed to ask anymore questions like...what part are we waiting on...blood…

Joint Pain
Is anyone else out there experiencing joint pain from chemo? The past few weeks have been torture for me. I can't sleep more than 2 hours at a time, if I am even sleeping at all. HOW LONG DOES CHEMO CONTINUE TO WORK?
I have read the chemo stays in your body for about 8 days to 2 weeks, but was wondering if anyone knows for how long it actually continues to work in the body. It must be working on the hair continuosly because it never stops falling out. Just wondering how long it works to destroy the bad cells too.
