XL999 clinical trials re-opening!
I've been participating in a clinical trial of Exelixis' XL999 for over a year, now. It was suspended to investigate cardiotoxicity, and it's finally reopening again. I have NSCLC, which has been held in check by this drug - I'm excited to see the trial opening up again! Please, ask your doctor about it!

My dad has stage 3b/4 nsclc lung cancer
My dad was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. He will be starting radiation and chemo on Monday. The chemo will be once a week. He will be taking Taxol and Carboplatin. Thoracentisis
Hi, my mom has colon cancer, but she's been in the ICU for a week now and it is her lungs that is causing her trouble. She has emphysema. They've performed 2 rounds of thoracentisis and removed a liter each time from her lung. Does anyone know how many times they can/will do this?

New and confused - Need Your Advice

Went to OHSU in Portland and met with Thoracic Surgeon whose Specialty is Oncology. He went over all my tests and says 60% chance 1CM growth is Cancer.
