Red patches on bladder and elevated creatinine
After having blood in urine and ruling out urinary tract infection, had a cystoscope showing multiple red patches on bladder wall. Also lab showed creatinine of 3.5. Scheduled for cystoscope with general anesthesia Monday for biopsies. After a clear CT scan in May this is quite unsettling. Doctor says may or may not be…

It's Flu Shot Season
Just a reminder to all. If your Oncologist thinks it's safe for you to get yours, do so ASAP, as it takes 2 weeks for it to be effective. The "old wives tale" about getting a flue shot and coming down with the flue is just that, a tale. The person had already been exposed; or contracted another variant of what was out…

Biopsy results
Reviewing my situation I was one stage 1 grade 1 in Oct of 2017. Then a follow scan at 6 months radiologist thought an area in my stomach may be a metastasis. The biopsy was Friday. It went pretty well no pain or anything. Staff was very nice. The doctor took 3 samples. He told me to listen for the click sound. I stressed…

Question post nephrectomy
I had my right kidney removed April 17, 2018 (stage 1 RCC) and have been recently having a lot of cramping and pain in the area where my kidney was. I had my 3 month check at the beginning of August and my labwork and abdominal ultrasound came back normal. Has anyone had this happen? Thanks!

Surgery.
had my hernia robotically repaired yesterday. I hurt like hell, but the bump is gone! Soon, I’ll be back to being active. the surgery was actually more complicated then he thought and took twice as long. He spotted another spot that was about to pop and fixed that too. 2 for 1 sale, I guess. I hope everyone is doing well.

6 years free and its come back
Not sure how many are still on here since I was on last, but I had a 21 cm tumor on my Right Kidney. Luckily it was encapsulated and didn't spread. Well, wouldn't you know, it's come back on my left adrenal gland and in my lungs! I have an appointment with an oncologist on the 19th of September at Dana Farber and a second…

Status Quo - I'll take it
My abdominal sono, renal sono and chest x-ray were all NED last week! Bloodwork was great too. We're rotating ultrasound and x-rays with CT or MRIs to limit radiation. Doc is pleased and so am I! Next up - MRI in December. Until then, I'll keep on keeping on. Know that I'm thankful for all of you as we navigate this RCC…

Update on Newly Diagnosed
Hello, Back on 8/13 I was diagnosed with a 2 cm mass suspicious of RCC: Incidental find. Chest and abdomen CT were both clean other than the proverbial isolated 3mm pulmonary nodule that was labeled to be inflammation worthy of observation but not associated with the kidney cancer. After consults with multiple surgeons and…
