Whom to tell?
Hi everyone, I'm new here as well. 4 weeks ago a CT scan & MRI revealed a 1.9 cm mass on my upper left kidney. 2 weeks ago I had a Da Vinci laparoscopic partial nephrectomy. Biopsy revealed Stage 1 Grade 2 cancer. It all happened so fast that I am just now starting to process the cancer diagnosis (they thought it was…

However, this morning I woke up itching, and with red swollen hands with small blisters. Has anyone had this happen, and do the side effects…

I've been on Sutent for 2 1/2 weeks - side effects have nasty - but I've been determined to get through this. My question is, has anyone experienced their blood pressure drop dangerously on this? I've had high blood pressure since I was 19 years old and on meds since then. My doctors told me to check my BP twice daily so…

latest dilemma
So...I've kept this to myself believing it would go away by now, and hopefully it's nothing. On Wednesday morning while in the shower I found a pea sized lump in my armpit. It's hard, not really painful unless I push on it, and even then its pretty insignificant pain. I hope it's nothing but I can't stop wondering if it…

Ionized water - Alternative Cancer Treatments?
For most of early stage kidney cancer patients, we are just told to follow 6mon or yearly scan after the surgery. I am wondering whether anyone has information on alternative cancer treatment. Many researches have shown that an acidic body has high risk of having cancer. Does anyone have experience with using ionized water?

Are there blood tests that anyone have to monitor anything else beside Creatinine levels?
The only bloodwork I've been having is Creatinine, and it's mainly just before any CTs or MRIs - and it's to make sure my kidneys are going to deal with the contrast. Is there any one out there having any tests that might indicate whether something else is going on? I was looking at a lab order and it had something about…

Wish I Were The Last Newbie On This Board
Everyone: I have been following this Board for the past month after a 6-7cm mass was discovered on my right kidney during an ultrasound. I have since met with two Urologists for their opinions. Has anyone had their spleen involved?
Hello all, I am two and a half weeks out from my left nephrectomy. My spleen had an infarct with a clot in it's artery, and the artery was removed, because it was feeding blood to the tumor. Has anyone else had any spleen involvement? My tumor was obviously growing out of the upper lobe, T3,N0, M0.

Hello, Unfortunately, I am a new member of this group. Last Thursday, I was diagnosed with RCC. It was an incidental find while looking for a reason for low blood iron. Was an effected lymph node or nodes always found before mets was diagnosed?
I was wondering if an effected lymph node was discovered before a metastasis was diagnosed in anyone's experience with RCC? I do remember seeing one post where it was mentioned "the doctors at Dana Farber were puzzled" as there was no sign of impacted lymph nodes.
