I need some advice. It’s been a while since I’ve posted. Just to recap since it’s been a while, dh at 49 was diagnosed in Sept. 2017 with large tumor in sigmoid. Colon resection was done in Oct. 2017. Soon after surgery, found out he was really stage 4, and he had tumors in his liver and possibly lungs. Liver was biopsied…

A Lot To Think About
Today was one I would like to forget. My oncologist told me that I have one 8mm nodule and 4-5 very tiny other nodules. He is pretty certain they are mets, particuarly the large one. Right out of the gate he told me that he thought radiation to zap them with them being scattered over both lobes would cause too much damage…

Not Good News
My doctor's nurse returned a call to me today. I have an appointment with him tomorrow at 1 to discuss the CT results but I called today to ask why they weren't posted. She said he tried to get in touch with me Friday. He said the scan showed new spots on my lungs from previous scans and he thinks it is the colon cancer.…

I went for my CT scan today and won’t meet with my doctor to discuss the results until the 10th..I did get my CEA level back and it was at it’s lowest ever (2.1) I know for some it isn’t a good marker but for me it has been. Waiting to Exhale
It is comforting to see the posts from the "support beams" of this community. I sign on and feel like I am peeking from behind a curtain sometimes, hoping if I stay hidden that cancer will never find me again.. I went for my third round of blood work and will have the third CT scan this Thursday. Feels like I am holding my…

In a few days I am supposed to go back to MD Anderson for potential immunotherapy phase 1/2 trail. They need some additional tests in order to be sure I qualify. The Squatty Potty
I always forget to mention in my list of 'Things That Help' The Squatty Potty. The Squatty Potty has helped me just as much as the Bidet post treatment. There is something about raising the legs that helps with elimination. I purchased the tallest version. I see they have allot more options available, than when I purchased…

Getting prepared for sugery possibly on Jan 7, 2020
Getting ready for surgery and want to be prepared as possible. I have questions for my dr so I hopefully won't have any "wake-up suprises" after surgery (APR with permanent colostomy most likely) but know I haven't thought of everything. Any advice on what to ask would be so much appreciated. Also, what are some things…

Hi, my name is Joy and I learned on Nov. 15th that I have rectal cancer. I am 49 years old and have been experiencing rectal bleeding and symptoms for a while.
