My incredible, beautiful 42 yo wife, was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in March. Not a single risk factor, exercised 2 hours per day, didn't drink, didn't smoke, etc... Had some blood…

First Post-op Scan Today
I wish I could say I wasn't anxious about my first scan but that would not be true. I hate to even walk thru the doors of the hospital. Anything that even resembles a medical practice makes me cringe. I drank one of my "delicious" prep bottles last night before bed and have one more to go this morning..yuck, lol. Life has…

What's normal to expect from an oncologist?
I'm just posting again to see if I can get some opinions on what's normal to expect of an oncologist. My husband's oncologist and his staff are not very helpful about answering questions. My husband has called a couple times with questions and it always takes a couple of calls and days to get answers, which is always…

Other than the major down time for that, I am normally getting dressed,…

Good Morning, All. I have stage 4 colorectal cancer, with mets in my liver and a couple of lymph nodes. So far I haven't had cancer in my lungs, but I've been getting breathless lately. I'm getting a CT scan this morning after a CEA tumor tracker that increased significantly. Started with FOLFOX plus avastin a year ago…

I think this is hilarious
I hope you guys enjoy it, too. And the link goes through okay. I've heard of every cancer 'cure' out there from possibilities to the ridiculous. Supposedly there are people doing reikie for me, whatever that is. And, yes, essential oils have been suggested. It both angers me and makes me laugh. I realize people have the…

Another fistula
Went to my family doctor yesterday to see what's up with me. I've been incontinent for months. I were Depends 24/7 because urine just comes out whenever and without warning. Husband recently diagnosed has missed 2 weeks of chemo due to low WBC
Hi everyone, I hope I'm not breaking any protocol by having this be my first official post on this forum, though I've been reading for a while. My 46-year-old husband was diagnosed with colon cancer about 2 months ago. He had a colostomy and the surgeon said it will not be resectable because it's on the verge of being…

Anyone have depression and anxiety long after treatment is finished?
I went thru Chemo, Radiation and Surgery in 2012. I can't understand why I'm not and I haven't felt "on top of the world" by winning the battle, that everything should just roll off my back but that's just not the case. I have been emotional, anxious and depressed. I'm wondering if anyone else has felt they are struggling…

Question about will, not colon cancer specifically
I hope this is okay to post about. I need some opinions and I need them from people who are totally non biased. I found out a couple of weeks ago that in Alberta we can do up a will on our own as long as it's completely handwritten. It can't be typed up and just signed. This is ensure that the person actually wrote it up…
