I went to our local cancer support group meeting tonight and we always try to have an agenda. This time it was talking about 'green sleeves'. I don't know if this is a Canadian thing, an Alberta thing, a general medical thing, or what. It involves a plastic envelope with green borders that holds a bunch of our medical…

Liver Resection-Twinges and Tightness..
After having both the colon resection and liver resection done at the same time, I think I have been recovering exceptionally well. The surgery was in February and I am just a couple of months out. (Mostly) off-topic: Bucket List
I apologize for the long post. For those who are busy, here is a summary. Last week I hiked Grand Canyon from rim-to-rim-to-rim and I am proud of myself. You can skip the rest. When I was in my late 50's, I would visit the Grand Canyon, stand on the rim, and say to myself. “I wish I had hiked down to the river when I was…

Dreams you'd given up because of cancer?
I'm feeling down today and focusing on this and I'm wondering if you all have the same feelings, too, sometimes. I'm not living my best life and giving up my dreams has been so hard. I'd hoped we'd live in the country again and I'd have my horse with us. But now I can't work and that will never happen due to money issues.…

Hello, and Thanks To You All For the Information
I had my 10 year (OK, 12) colonoscopy, and when I woke up, the Dr. peeked around the curtain and said "Well Mr. Capox Dude, sometimes we have to deliver bad news..." So anyway, after surgery (large tumor in cecum removed in lap colectomy) they came back with III B and three lymph nodes positive. I had a good surgeon, and…
