2 surgeries in one day, anyone???
Hey there, I meet with the surgeon today. We've decided to do the liver abalation ( 2 spots on opposite sides of the liver) and the bowel resection at the same operative setting. I believe the liver surgeon will go first then the bowel surgery done robotically. They anticipate I'll be in the hospital for 4 days post op.…

I am now 1 year passed the scans that found my 3rd round of colon cancer. It has been a long 5 1/2 years. I know you all understand the ups and downs…

Can't believe the end is in sight. I just finished my 11th round of folifox/oxy treatment for Stage 3 colon cancer and looking forward to only one more treatment. So doc says it's just an inclusion which is scar tissue with fluid behind it, a very fancy word for cyst. I have a lot of scar tissue from the surgery. I requested to biopsy for peace of mind anyway since the lump is hard but she said she can't justify when I just had a clean scan and she doesn't see the need for it, she's…

8 years NED (Stage IV)
On February 20th I celebrated my 8th Anniversary of remission. In 2009 I had 12 inches of my colon removed along with half of my liver (5 liver mets spread across the liver). I had an HAI pump implanted and continued chemo treatments until November 2009. I have had no treatments since then and my quarterly scans slowed…
