Erbitux rash
Does anyone know of a good product to use on the rash? I am on the 5th cycle and my face is pretty well covered with the rash. My skin is very dry and my nose is covered with scabs. All I am using now is glycerin rose water and vitamin E oil.

Need some opinions\advice\experience
I was dx in July 2009 with Stage IV colon cancer at age 39. I had the tumor removed along with 8 inches of my colon in August and 6 months of chemo. I responded well to chemo and in March of 2010 after a PET and liver MRI, there was only one small spot on my liver and it was inactive. Late March, I had a liver resection…

I know things seem bleak, but you still have options. You may currently be in liver failure, but your liver does regenerate. If there is no infection and no blockage, then perhaps all you need is some time to heal. There is a device called ELAD being tested to support liver functions in the event of failing liver. If your…

Nothing but bad news
I go every other week for lab work, see the doctor and take chemo. My lab work is starting to go down, my CEA is up to 13.2 (same as before surgery), my hair is falling out and my oncologist raised the amount I'm taking for Avastin and CPT-11. He raised the Avastin from 400 to 900 and the CPT-11 from 140 to 180. If this…

Traditional Chinese Medicine
My Mother works at a local hospital and is friends with the tumor registrar who recommended a TCM doctor. I called the doc today, and she seems very anxious to meet with me. She's a physician in China who holds a Ph.D here, so i'm figuring she's very well versed in the methods. I'm looking forward to meeting her tomorrow…

integrative doctor-interesting tests
Hi, My husband will most likely be on chemo for a long while unless another option becomes available. In the meantime, I scheduled an appointment to see an integrative doctor to help him manage some of the side effects of chemotherapy. I was surprised by all of the tests the doctor wanted done. Heavy metal testing, adrenal…

Cancer cells killed by chemotherapy may cause cancer to spread...
Chemotherapy is known to come with a long list of side effects -- from debilitating nausea and hair loss to extreme fatigue -- and in many cases, it does not cure or even stop cancer from progressing. But what if chemotherapy does something no one has realized before during all the decades it has been in use? What if chemo…

Can you explain this?
This is my first post so bear with me, please. After you have had an ileostomy reversal and you have to be so careful with what you eat if you don't want to stay in the bathroom, but, if you have an colostomy then you can eat whatever you want and not have to worry about having to constantly empty the bag. Why is this?…
