Right now I go every other Monday and get 5FU, Avastin and Flolic Acid. (I think that's how you spell it). I did not do good on Oxy, almost died. I don't want to go through that…

Update on my second clinical trial
After 5 weeks of treatment with Erbitux, Sorafenib and Irinotecan, today I went to hospital to have CT scan. The preliminary result shows "significant decrease" of the size of nodules in my lung and the lymph nodes in my chest area. Liver lesions have not changed much in size, but the "activities" are lower. It could mean…

After 7 months of 'remission' my colon cancer reaffirmed itself with two tumors in my left lung. I have been back on chemotherapy for 5 months with only marginal reduction in the tumors. Texas Snow pictures
Well Brooks went to San Diego zoo. He had perfect weather (grrr) but in Texas we had a real treat. A Colorado snow storm. We are from Colorado and this was "real" snow, not the usual ice, it was wet and would make great snowmen! I have posted a few photos on my expressions page. I know those from "up north" might find this…

Has religion in it, but this is really not a religious post. It's about cancer.
I had one of those times today. I was teaching my adult Sunday School class, and we always start by talking about people who are in need of prayer. We had so many new or recurring cases of cancer. I found myself suddenly very teary and had a hard time composing myself to carry on with the lesson. It just makes me sad to…

Tx #8 going pretty well, all things considered
I admit I was pretty scared about another round of chemo after the allergic reactions. But everything we did this time seems to have helped.
