I'm so confused... After 3 treatments of folfox and 9 treatments of folfiri it turns out my husband still has one positive lymph node. It is near his lungs and esophogus. No other nodes appear to be cancerous. Everything else seems great. Does anyone know anything about this? Since he already did chemo, seems like our…

really excited
I've been up for a few hours now. I saw my oncologist today, he was completely oblivious to Novalis Tx and the fact that there was one 15 minutes down the road. Novalis Tx is covered by my insurance and I have an appointment next week. What I'm most excited about though is the prospect of having my thyroid cancer treated.…

Managing Pain-Still in Hospital
As some of you may know, my sister had what was supposed to be a liver resection 2/5. When they went in, they noticed too much cancer in her abdomen and her liver was "not resectable". They also noted a blockage in her upper colon, which they resected. It is now 8 days from the surgery and she is still in the hospital. We…

Hi Everyone, I had my PET/CT scan Wednesday and got the scan report today. I did already mention on another thread how I was sent home after yesterday's scan with a CD of the scan images. I looked at it and saw some lit up spots on my lungs, liver, and what I thought might also be elsewhere. Here's some of the news written…

Life after CRC ... dealing with post-chemo side effects
Hello to all! I need some help. I finished chemo (FOLFOX) in September 2009, and while the chemo killed the disease, it's left me with a few souvenirs: neuropathy in hands/feet, fatigue (STILL), and a frustration that others can't understand why i'm not 'back-to-normal' by now. I mean, like i'll ever be 'normal' again?!?!…

It's Scan time!

In November I asked my onc it we could add a little "extra chemo" to see if it made a difference. So, Because I have had few side affects, he…

What Size is YOUR Port?????
Evidently there are multiple sizes for ports. Size indicator must be the rubber ring just under the skin???? I was told they range in size from an area the size of an eraser tip to that of a nickel. I knew mine was small (LOL..uh huh)...but in this case it is not a good thing. It evidently limits "work space" for needles.…
