Hi I have a weepy eye from using Xeloda. It was suggested to take Claritin to see if that would dry it up. Well, it didn't help much with the weepy eye but it sure helped with bowel problems. It's works better and faster than immodium. Who would have thought! It seems to dry up the constants leakage that comes from all the…

During chemo -- how to define?
On another thread, people discussed that they should not take antioxidants during chemo. What do you mean "during chemo"? Do you mean during the entire period from the first day of the first round of chemo to the last day of the last round of chemo or just during the time of active chemo infusion?

Not depression
I was shocked this week to learn from my doctor that he does not believe there is depression, just people who "think too much about themselves". He said this as he was leaving the room, which was a good thing because I think my husband was going to deck him. My husband is a Registered Nurse who has worked 8 years as a…

Visual Disturbances with chemo
One of mom's latest side effects during and now after her 4th Folfox chemo treatment has been some "visual disturbances". Hi all, Today I went for treatment #2. While discussing problems and such with the nurse, I told her about the supplements and other alternative foods in my current diet. The answers only sparked more questions - PET scan results in
So, I finally got the call at 6PM with my PET results. I was thinking the worst when no one would tell me the results, and I had to wait for the oncologist to finish his day and personally call.
