I was scheduled in February for the ileostomy takedown, and it got aborted while i was on the table because of stricture. Two…

OK, I'll take a mulligan
New CT scan today, they removed the tube from my diaphragm. I'm breathing ok. Hopefully I'm done with all these abscesses and infections. I did get some kind of bad news. The CT scan showed something in both lungs, very small. The nodule in my right lung is 6-7 mm. The doctors re-evaluated all of my previous CTs and PETs.…

Surpassing Expectations...
If you need a little pick-me-up today, this is a moving clip. I think there are a lot of messages in this, but the message I take away from this is one about beating the odds and about the true definition of beauty. As far as an application to our cancer community, I think we all (families and survivors) confront skeptical…

Some people posted, they went through chemo for colon cancer and returning for check ups the cancer moved to the liver and lungs. I'm stage 3c the tests came back (when first diagnosed in Dec.08) that nothing was in the…

How to peel a potato the easy way
OK, so this email isn't about cancer exactly, but it is a neat way to easily peel potatoes without a peeler and that means you'll have more time to spend with friends and family and less in the kitchen. If you make potato salad, you are going to want to watch this one. Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island is in the video.…
