I got a job!
Started looking for a job a little over a year ago and no one seemed to want me. I have 20+years of HR so I knew it would be rough. Even had one guy freak on me and say the position was filled instead of interviewing me. Cousin checked and they had not filled the position. Between being flat chested and wearing a lymph…

Tumor
Hello, I'm 18 years old. I've recently turned 18 and I'm asking for advice. I think I may have a tumor on my left breast. To me, it's more than clear but I havent been to a doctor to get it checked out. I've been having it since I was in 2nd grade, I believe. It was small. But since I've always been so shy, i never told…

Start A/C today
It's been a whirlwind. Two weeks from dx to chemo. Had all my test done, will see the doc today and also start chemo. Wanna get this party started. I've had cytoxin before, but not adriomycen (sp?). Are the side affects different? At least through trial and error from last time, I know that ginger ale is the drink for me.…

In need of support?
Hello.. My names Lisa and I'm 18. I know this probably isn't the proper place to do this but I feel like no one understands. I lost my mother to Breast Cancer four years ago when I was 14. I guess I just never really coped with it. I still pretend like it didn't happen. And I was talking to my dad and he told me that I…

swim suit
Lumpectomy 2008 and another one (but this dr called it partial mastectomy) on same side 4 wks ago. I am very small chested-I am going on a cruise in May-I want to try on bathing suit prior to see if you can notice. With ever day clothes and bra I DO NOT think it's noticable. I would assume any suit with cup or padding…

The reason why she wants me to see the docs
endo is because of the gioter, and low blood sugars. The breast surgoen is because I was go from the one that did the surgery with just a bottle of vicodin. I had doctors that did not really care about the patient and the insurance I was on did allow the tests or treatment that I needed. Now since now I am on medicare and…

First time I've been able to get on this site for days!!!
This has got to be one of the most frustrating websites I'm ever on (and frustration is certainly not what most of us need right now!). Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know that I am keeping you all in my prayers and sending out positive energy to each and every one of you. I'm sending a shout out to all of you,…

CT scan results. No MRI results yet.
The onc called late on Friday with results. (I haven't been able to get on since then.) We will be changing my chemo again. One of the lymph nodes is larger, the local recurrence is larger, and there is fluid in the lining around both lungs. There is not enough to drain, so the hope is the new chemo will take care of it. I…

Had PET scan this afternoon.
I don't know why I was so stressed over this one. It's my third one now so I should be used to it. I really hate the 24 hours without carbs and the 6 hours without eating anything. I also hate the IV to check the blood sugar and inject the radioactive glucose solution, the "relaxing" wait for it to travel wherever it needs…
