CT scan results
I had a CT scan on Friday. I let them use my arm for the IV instead of my port. Barely into the scan my vein blew, so the contrast was just going into my arm. They didn't hear me when I complained of the pain, so we got a good scan. But my arm was really swollen and quite painful. The arm is much better now. My onc called…

Don't worry about the SPAMMER - CSN will take care of them & the board will go back to the way it wa
I and others have sent emails to CSN about the spammer. It looks like they spammed all of the boards, not just ours here. When someone from CSN logs on to delete the spammer, all of the posts will go back to the way that they were before it got spammed. The old posts will go away. There is no need to BUMP any post up as…

extreme pain when trying to have sex
Hi, I went through chemo and radiation during my treatments for breast cancer in 2011. Then in 2012 I was pretty sick with infections from reconstruction that had gone wrong. I felt so tired so during that time I had no interest in having sex. My husband is very loving and did not have a problem about it. Now that that is…

What's wrong with NOT having reconstruction?
I feel the need to vent a little and this seems to be a safe place to do so. I had a double mastectomy backing in /september with expanders placed for reconstruction. It was trouble from the start and about 8 weeks later I had to have emergency surgery to have them removed due to a severe infection. I never even got to…

Breast self-exams
Will there be a point where I will be able to make sense of breast self-exams? At this point, with all the mucking about the surgeon did in there over the past few months, I have these residual rock-hard lumps. Doing a BSE is pointless, because I know I have to ignore the major lumps I'll find. Do the hard spots from a…

Anyone else Depressed with Femora
I was on Arimidex and had to be taken off because of extremely bad side effects. I have been on Femora for about six months and although I don't have the severe join pain anymore .... I am becoming severely depressed from Femora. I was ALWAYS "happy go lucky" until Femora. My oncologist said this is one side affect from…

Colds Season Again
I have perused the boards to look for responses to similar questions, but have not found what I am looking for -- usually the reason is that it is tied to someone doing chemo. It seems that I am more susceptible to chest colds than usual -- currently have my second one, which is nastier than my first. I finished chemo in…
