2 Years Ago This Morning, We Lost Our Beloved Moopy/Lisa
I know many of you remember Lisa and what a very, special pink sister she was. I used to love to see her online as she was always so upbeat and positive, even though she was facing a hard road ahead of her. Her spirit and smile were truly amazing. I don't think I can remember one time she ever complained and she had plenty…

New chemo tomorrow, and I'm surprised to be nervous.
So this is my 5th chemo combo, and it will be meds number 7 and 8. Carboplatin and Gemzar. I'm nervous because my onc prescribed zofran and compazene. The last couple of chemo meds have been really easy when it comes to stomach/digestive issues, and I haven't needed any meds. I'm just not looking forward to being sick that…

Second cancer, second thoughts
Hi, I've read some older posts regarding HR/invasive breast cancer in premenapausal women. I am 45. I was recently diagnosed with a second breast cancer in the opposite breast. The first cancer was diagnosed in 2009, had a lumpectomy + radiation + tamoxifen. That breast remains cancer-free. The other breast has a tumor…

Did everyone get a flu shot?
My husband got one, but, I didn't as the last time I got one, I got the flu, literally, within a few hours. I know they say you can't get it from the flu shot, but, I did or else it was the strangest coincidence ever. The news makes it sounds so bad so I am struggling if I should chance getting the shot. Thanks, Angie

6 month checkup
I have to see my onc tomorrow for my 6 month checkup & blood test (tumor markers). Don't know that I should be, but I'm nervous/anxious. I'm afraid they'll find "something". Logically I know it's better to face whatever I have to face than ignore it...but still. Waiting for the blood to come back is the worst. To top it…

Survived another 'country switch'....
We arrived safely in The Netherlands on Tuesday. It is very cold here, and today I was gifted with a soft snowfall. I am busy putting the house together, and settling in, contacting friends, and planning our days. The end of February we have booked a cruise from Rome to Turkey, Israel, Greece. By then, this sun-loving gal…

CSN or Greta FIX THIS WEBSITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been trying to get on this board since the update. I think I have succeeded three times since then, and I have tried at least 60 times. We are not able to communicate and share our journies together. We are not able to find out how others are doing during a time we know is a crisis. This is just unacceptable. I say…

Should I go on Fosamax?
Happy New Year everyone! I was just wondering if anyone has any good or bad experiences taking Fosamax. My doctor wants me to take it because since my hysterectomy a year and a half ago, I had to switch from tamoxifen to Aromasin. Since that time my osteopenia went from mild to moderate. I go to Curves 4 times a week,…
