So tired of bad news..
Hi ladies! Just asking for lots of prayers. I woke up this morning unable to see. I can see things that are far away, but I can't read anything close up or even tell the time on my watch. We are flying home from our vacation a week and a half early so that I can get a brain MRI. My pupils are different sizes, but besides…

Just don't want to lay down and let the stinkin' truck roll over me again! So tired all of the time, and friends and family want me to participate in visits I just can't do it! People…

Going crazy! 1 week from bilateral mastectomy. How do you decide about reconstruction?
I feel like a yoyo. I am up one minute about having reconstruction and off of it the next minute. If one person tells me I should do it, I feel like I should and I will be sorry if I do not. If another tells me I am crazy messing around with all that extra surgery and procedures that come with reconstruction, I think I am…

Has your plastic surgeon ever suggested...
that you get a second opinion? Out of the blue my PS suggested getting a second opinion to me. I trust my PS implicitly and was a bit taken aback by this... Your thoughts please!

I am finally back from Chicago and able to get onto the Cancer Survivors Network! I am truely sorry that I could not get in touch with any "Pinks" in that area over the last month, but being without a computer was really tough and we left in such a hurry that I didn't have time to make any plans. Lots of thoughts lately
Hi girls! I'm having such an incredible trip, have met such incredible people, and have visited some pretty incredible places.. but for some reason I am having a hard time clearing my head. For starters, I know my Xeloda is not working. I don't need my doctor to tell me its not working. The evergrowing tumors sticking out…

Lymph...? fluid buildup
Hi, so I had a double mastectomy on March 21 (about 2.5 months ago), all has gone well for the most part. I did have to have the build-up of fluid in my armpit (2 nodes removed) drained 3 times at follow-up appointments. I do stretches and have quite a bit of strength back in both arms with great range of motion. My…

Chronic pain following Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy
I finished my second course of chemotherapy, following a 6 week course of radiotherapy at the end of December 2011. A few weeks later I started to feel pain in my neck, shoulder (the same side as my breast cancer), then pains in both my knees, elbows, ankles, fingers and toes. My worst pain is in my neck and shoulders and…

Nipples/No Nipples?
I've had a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction. Trying to decide if I want to have another surgery to get nipples. My plastic surgeon wants to do a skin graft to create the nipples, which would mean another surgery and general anesthetic. I've heard of other surgeons that do a kind of "pucker stitch" to create the…
