Very happy to have…

Not totally OT - Any tatters out there?
I usually forget to get busy making tatted book marks to take to the Retreats I go to. We decorate mail bags and hang them so anyone can secretly give little 'things' or special notes to each other. Well I always have a few to take but I really want to have enough for everyone this spring and I do have enough time and…

Joke for Wednesday .. Enjoy!
..... You know it is time to reassess your relationship with your computer when.... 1. You wake up at 4 O'clock in the morning to go to the bathroom and stop to check your email on the way back to bed. 2. You turn off your computer and get an awful empty feeling, as if you just pulled the plug on a loved one. 3. You decide…

joint pains with tamoxifen?
Does anyone taking Tamoxifen battle with sore joints? I thought it was an after effect of chemo or radiation but it's almost a year since I stopped those and wonder if it's the tablets that cause it? Any ideas as to what might help? Mostly elbows, wrists and feet - feel like they are burning. Sorry I shouldn't complain I…

Radiation or not?
I have probably a ridiculous question, here goes. Has anyone opted to NOT have radiation? I have and will coninue to question everything they recommend. There are no guarantees either way. Darned of ya do and darned if ya don't. I dread the thought of laying on that table exposed every day for six weeks. And even more so I…

OMG...I was not prepared for what I look like....
I leave for the hospital in just two hours and I have to admit I am kinda scared. So I am trying to keep myself busy until my ride gets here. My surgeon said my reconstruction will be "more extensive than the average person" whatever that means so I am not sure what to expect. I hope I am not in the hospital long...and I…

Question for my stage IV/mets sisters...
How do you answer when someone asks "How long will you be in treatment?" I usually evade and tell them 'I'm not sure. We have to see what the next CT scan says." But in my case, it is more likely that I will be in treatment in one form or another for the rest of my life. Every time I get asked this question (and it seems…

Not to be outdone by those SoCal women . . . .
Gabe N Abby Mom, Chicadee, Re, and I were unable to get together this weekend. Since there are some South Bay and Bay Area pink sisters around, we thought it would be a good idea to set a date, time and place (somewhere in the middle) that would work for all of us to get together. We were thinking Concord area. I need some…

Question about ACE Inhibitors after Breast Cancer
I finally allowed my primary doc to put me on blood pressure meds because my blood pressure is staying in the 200/103 range more often than not. She chose to start me with an ACE Inhibitor. I decided to do an Internet search for ACE Inhibitors & Breast Cancer and discovered information on breastcancer.org which indicates…
