I handed the teller @ my bank a withdrawal slip for $400.00 I said "May I have large bills, please" She looked at me and said "I'm sorry sir, all the bills are the same size." When I got up off the floor I explained it to her.... IDIOT SIGHTING When my husband and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car,…

So, when all this started....
we had just moved into a new home. It's been a year and a half, I need to finish up the little things that were left undone - a little molding here, a mirror there, shelves in the closets, etc. Probably about 2 days work for the contractor, but a weeks worth for me -hauling out the closets & countertops, all the stuff I…

Have dissovleable stitches so no follow-up appt. just free to go.

I've started going topless.
So I have about 1/4 of hair now...same mousy brown with a little bit of gray. And the weather has been mostly co-operating, so I have pretty much stopped wearing my hats. The last few times I've left the house, my wonderful hubby said "Where is your hat?". I'm not so sure he approves of my skinhead look.

Gauntlets vs gloves (Lymphedema garments)
Which do you use, which do you like better and why? Since I've gotten good results with my FlexiTouch as my hand gets back to close to 'normal' my gloves are cutting in (causing pain) between the 2 middle fingers - I'm weird and there is webbing there (if that doesn't make sense I'll try to explain better). After looking…

Fears after treatment
Hello, I am 33 years old going through breast cancer. I am not going to lie. This stinks! I am done with treatment and thought for sure I'd be feeling great. I think everyone else in my family expects me to just bounce right back and forget everything that happened. I can't and it is so hard! Every day I am terrified that…

There a several ladies who are having tests, diagnosis', etc. I don't have time to post to each individually, so I want to let everyone know that I am keeping the individuals and all people on this board in my thoughts and prayers.…

Joke of the day
We can all probably relate to this woman's reaction... While conducting some business at the Court House, I overheard a lady, who had been arrested for assaulting a Mammogram Technician, say, "Your Honor, I'm guilty but ... there were extenuating circumstances." The female Judge said, sarcastically, "I'd certainly like to…

just back from Mx...TSA always an adventure
Returned last night from the latest Mexico trip. Security in Mexico was uneventful...even with the lymph pump in the carry on. However, Miami TSA was time consumping this time. Each time it is different! Both carry ons caused concern to them.... I had the garment and wires in one, and husband had the pump machine. They…

My best friend is on her second round of chemo and her nails are ridged and now she is starting to lose them! If you have any suggestions to help her, it would be greatly appreciated. Sex question
I am going to assume that my (very out of the ordinary, for me) vaginal dryness is a Tamoxifen side effect. But, I am bleeding a lot from a normal, average encounter. Is there anything I should do tonight to reduce my chance for infection? I'll be calling my doc in the a.m. Jeeez!!

How many DCIS stage 3 that turned into stage 4?
Hi. As many of you know I was diagnosed with stage 3 and had my bi-lateral in August 2009. I have had radiation and been on Tamoxifen. I have had pain that seems to be getting worse every week so my onc took me off the Tamox to see if it would help with the pain. I have been off for three weeks and I can't say that I have…

Went to the ER yesterday.....
I just wasn't feeling quite right yesterday...well, actually I was feeling a lot not right yesterday! I was unsure of myself, didn't trust that I could even take a shower without falling down (never a good thing!!) shaky, light-headed, and short of breath with a dry cough . I finally called Reggie to come home from playing…

Would you 'shave' your head -
in support of a friend/family member? Just wondering - there are some of us who have lost our hair to Chemo and some who haven't. So - would your be willing to 'shave'/clipper your hair in support of a friend/family member? Would you try to organize an event with several people participating? There is no 'right' or 'wrong'…

So it's 13 days since my first chemo and my hair is supposed to start falling out soon. I keep checking but so far, not... except maybe a little extra in the shower. They say not to order a wig until it really starts to fall out, but there are other items I wonder if I should jump on. Like - the net to catch my hair in…

Update about my mom
Since I have posted on this board before, I though I have to update you about my mom's diagnosis. Unfortunately, her second oncologist ruled out the breast cancer possibility and none of her tests could lead to the primary tumor. She is going to be treated now for cancer of unknown primary. She is starting radiotherapy on…

Been a While
Since I posted. Still fighting my demons I guess. Friday morning I have to go in for an endoscopy and colonoscopy. My CBC is not responding to the medication and my oncologist referred me to a gastroenterologist. He said he was going to do the endoscopy to see if I have any bleeding ulcers and the colonoscopy to make sure…
